Best part: we were a 5 minute walk to the beach and 2 minute walk into the Village. The unit was clean and comfortably updated. We cooked at home many nights and there was adequate cookware to enable it. The shared laundry has an app so I did not have to hoard quarters, which was nice. As others have said, there is a train that runs right through Carlsbad. You’ll hear it. But we enjoyed being able to walk to the train and took it quite a few times into Encinitas, O-Side and San Diego. We loved it here and will stay at this rental again. ##### Tracy K. TV did not work! Remote was not good. Was told a new one was on the way didn’t happen. It was cold and rainy so tv was important. Overall Gage House is looking run down. Several steps were in need of repair. Laundry facilities have gone down. This wasn’t owner’s issue but HOA IS DEFINITELY LACKING. ##### Maureen B. The property is very clean and comfortable with everything we needed for a quick beach getaway. Walking distance to all shops, restaurants, and the beach.
