Very noisey

Posted 24-Nov-2016
Main road next to hotel is extremely noisey with lorries and buses. Makes it impossible to sleep. We had to change hotel. Breakfast was appalling. No flavour, cheap ingredients. Decoration is tatty.

Great location and decent breakfast

Posted 08-Nov-2016
The hotel is well located and has some (limited) parking but this is quite expensive at £13 per night. The hotel has seen better days and could do with some refurbishment. However, for the price it represents pretty good value.

Lovely hotel in a great location

Posted 31-Oct-2016
Pros: Location
Cons: Temperature of the room
Location: Castle & shops nearby
Great hotel. We stayed on the 3rd floor over the main door so not disturbed by passing traffic or people in the hotel corridor. Only negative is the temperature of the room. Unable to turn the radiator off and air con was not sufficient to cool it down. Both myself and partner woke up with headaches so not a great start to our weekend away! Staff were friendly and good breakfast. Location opposite the castle and close to the shops was perfect.

Centre of Cardiff great location

Posted 23-Oct-2016
I was just having a night out after work so boiling hot bath when I got there massive bathroom lovely massive white towels great big tv to watch while I got ready. Massive comfy bed with immaculate white bedding. Loads of light in the room. Only beware the car park is 13.00 per night and I would have left it at work had I known but they waived the charge when I told the reception this .

Comfortable and roomy.

Posted 22-Oct-2016
Location: Opposite castle. In the middle of Cardiff a good walking city.
A good hotel. My TV remote worked erratically, when I phoned they said they would fix and didn't. Bathroom window a little loose so a little draughty. Shower power could have been stronger. All that said a comfortable, large twin room and large bathroom. Very central location- close to station and rugby stadium.

Incredible service.

Posted 21-Oct-2016
Pros: The customer service was fantastic . Breakfast was excellent too.
Cons: Definitely an older building, full of character. For many, this will be a plus though. Lots of history here.
