This home is beautifully decorated with upscale furnishings and is immaculately cleaned each time you come to stay. The top floor of the property features an open concept living-dining-cooking area. Catch a glimpse of the big blue Pacific each time you peer outside. The front of the space boasts a well-furnished outdoor balcony, perfect for morning snacking or happy hour sipping, and endless lounging and sunset watching. Just inside the glass doors lays a sectional so cozy that you may find yourself dozing off in the middle of movie night. Steps back, the dining table spaciously seats 6, and the gourmet kitchen is designed to make cooking easy! With luxury appliances, and cabinets stocked full of cooking tools, feeding your group at home will be a painless process! We have everything you need to help you keep all of your peeps’ bellies full. On the middle floor, you’ll find the first two bedrooms connected by a jack and jill bathroom. Each of these guest bedrooms has room for two people, outfitted with queen-sized Casper mattresses and flatscreen TVs. The larger “east” guest bedroom also features a gaming console, perfect for those who love to game! Down the hall you’ll find the spacious Master Suite, featuring a walk-in closet, a large en suite bathroom, a 55” flatscreen TV, a WFH desk workspace with computer monitor, and a king-sized Casper mattress. You’ll be sure to rest easy here as you fall asleep to the sounds of the coast and awake to views of the ocean from your bed. Below the bedroom level is a mudroom storing a portable crib and a high chair for those with little ones, and a private two-car garage packed full of all the beach accessories you could need, including: boogie boards, beach towels, beach toys, surfboards, a beach umbrella, a sand wagon and drink cooler. Lastly, we’ve included a community hot water outdoor shower, located just outside the garage where you can wash off after a day at the beach, and you can even bring your furry friends along! Get ready for endless fun in the sun and easy beach day activities. All laundry, bathroom, and kitchen amenities are included. Electric car charging available onsite for an additional hourly fee. This house is located on a quiet street, a short stroll from the heart of Cardiff’s many restaurants, cafes, boutiques, yoga studios, salons, library, post office, wine bars, and local favorite – the “Seaside Market” grocery store, plus great surfing and beautiful beaches! You can also catch the nearby Coaster to explore downtown San Diego for the day. If you are bringing a dog(s) we need them to be crated if left alone. If you don’t have a crate, we have ones you can use. We understand if your furry family members can’t stay off the sofa or bed; we do have special sofa blankets and/or beach towels to protect the furniture. We try our best to accommodate all our guests and can’t have dogs directly on the furniture as it’s unhygienic for others who might be more sensitive. We also incur extra cleaning fees to prepare for our next guests. Cleanliness and sanitation are very important standards to our overall business. For this, we do require an additional pet cleaning fee. Finally, we expect our guests to pick up any dog waste daily in the yards and rinse down the area where the waste was picked up. We expect our guests to keep noise down to a minimum as this house is located in a residential neighborhood and quiet times are from 10pm to 7am. We have a maximum overnight occupancy of 7 guests. Parking is available in the private driveway off the alley or in the garage. Trash is picked up on Friday mornings and all trash and recycle goods should be placed in the containers by Thursday night as pickup is usually very early. CLEANING POLICY Hey there! Here’s a quick rundown of how we make sure your bungalow is spotless and ready for you. We’re a bit of a neat freak crew, and we take pride in giving you the best possible experience. Here’s what we do to prepare the bungalow for your arrival: First things first, we let in the fresh coastal breeze! We leave windows and doors open for a few hours so the air can flow in while we get to work cleaning. In addition to our regular routine, we disinfect all high-traffic surfaces too. Every single bed linen piece (even mattress pads, pillow protectors, duvet covers, and blankets!) is always laundered between uses. And don’t worry, all bath linens (shower curtains and bathmats too!) are laundered between visits to keep things extra fresh. We know what you’re thinking: our cleaning fee might seem a bit steep. We totally get it, and we’re here to break it down for you. Our crews—from the family that cleans the living space to our partners who tackle laundry—are all paid fairly. We believe that hard work deserves an honest living! To get into the nitty-gritty, we usually spend around 15 hours readying the space and laundering the linens (all 10 loads of them, as detailed above). Here’s the thing: what you see and pay for is what you get. We want you to feel right at home each and every time you visit the bungalows, and a spotless space is essential to that experience. The home was gorgeous and well appointed. Location to the beach and Seaside Market (our favorite) could not be better. Our BIL + SIL flew in from the east coast to join us had similar comments. We had a wonderful stay at Montgomery South, and I cannot think of a better spot to spend a week escaping the cold and dreary days we left in Indiana, for Cardiff-by-the-sea! Stacey and Keith are expert hosts, who have not only equipped their amazing bungalow with everyhting you'll need in a super comfortable, clean and stylish place but also made themselves totally available in case we had questions or needs along the way. Parking in the garage was a huge plus factor. The town is adorable, and a quick walk down the hill puts you on the Coastline, where you can run or walk along the rail trail, as we did each day, or sit on the beach and watch surfers do their thing. The gourmet market nearby has amazing food options, and the house is walking distance to several great local restaurants. Cardiff is in a corner of Encinitas that is sandwiched by great beach towns both to the North and South, and is totally accessible to the freeway. It's a quick 25 min drive to the aiport and San Diego proper. It's literally the perfect location for visiting the area. Hiking, biking, paragliding, museums, shopping, great food, and views abound. We did it all inside of a week, and found the house a most relaxing spot to come back to each day and chill, curling up and watching movies. I loved the kitchen, and the arrangement of the rooms was perfect for our family - (one boy teenager and one tween girl shared the J&J bath) You cannot go wrong with this house, or with these hosts. :) ##### Katie F. This was our second year renting to get away from the cold Chicago winter and once again, we had an incredible time. A resident on the block yelled at our puppy from over the fence. This woman was scary. The dog became terrified and barked protectively. My family was playing charades on the top floor living room, did not hear right away, and reponded too late. It ruined our family celebration. Overall, I did not feel safe in this neighborhood. This seaside home has all the comforts of home and the conveniences of an upscale hotel wrapped into one. Here are some of the highlights that set this home apart: 1\. The bed is incredibly comfortable. 2\. The home is CLEAN. You can tell the cleaning crew goes the extra mile to deep clean, which we all know is important right now. 3\. The home is quiet. There aren't rowdy neighbors or traffic noise to compete with the sound and views of the ocean from the balcony. 4\. If you are concerned about safety there is a new, user friendly security system to give you peace of mind. 5\. Filtered water and all the coffee accessories (Keurig, Nespresso, French press - you choose!) 6\. Basic cooking supplies and ingredients. Ever been to a place and have to buy things salt or oil for cooking? Not at this house - it's all stocked and at your disposal. When it comes to the hosts, Keith and his wife truly are the salt of the earth. They care about making everyone's experience a positive one. This is the second time I have stayed at one of Keith's properties, and each time he has gone out his way to make sure I had everything I needed. If you need suggestions of places to eat, hikes to go on, or beaches to enjoy, Keith will be sure to point you in the right direction. Keith was an excellent host and he communicated well. His home was beautiful and spacious. Everything was very clean and organized. Six adults stayed here very comfortably. The property is walking distance to the bike path which is along the beach and you are able to walk to all of the shops and restaurants in Encinitas. There are also shops and restaurants very close to the house in Cardiff. The house is also equipped with beach gear!
