It may sound like a busy and noisy hotel but Carcassonne has very few trains, we did not hear a noise while sleeping, we had a comfortable night sleep. It is an old hotel with outdated rooms and furniture, which I think it adds to the magical old town and going back in time feeling of the town. This is an excellent choice for visiting Carcasonne by train. Its just across the canal, which is convenient. Its a large old rambling station hotel. Its very comfy and the staff are very helpful and friendly. At this small airport passport control is very slow conciquentley some passengers missed the shuttle bus.
