A/C couldn’t go below 72, but it was fine. The beach is beautiful and about a 7-minute walk.Important to know: when booking through Vrbo/third parties you can’t use the resort amenities, only the beach. Without a car you’ll need to walk a lot (or rent a golf cart, which adds to the budget). Also, there’s no Uber/Lyft or Uber Eats service here, so plan accordingly for meals.Resort staff were still very nice and helpful, especially the shuttle drivers. I stayed at South Seas Resort a few years ago and it was spectacular. It has taken a beating from the recent hurricanes. It was sad to see how much damage it has incurred. The property was well-maintained (there is construction happening at the resort, but it was not at all disruptive). Check in was a breeze, place was clean and great for a quick stay. Elevators worked! We wanted to use to pool one night, but couldn’t find a way to turn the lights on. No big deal!Property is a short walk to the beach (preferred over driving, since it’s 25 for 2-hour minimum) and the Starbucks across the street was a god-send.
