Ideally located in the region with lots to see and do. The house was bigger that expected and the outdoor areas were really good - a fantastic pool. No issues with the host (Phil) who was really helpful. Highly recommended! ##### Josh F. The property has everything you need and more. The pool is crystal clear and everyone had a great time relaxing by it and playing in it. The space gave us lots of places to sit and enjoy the sun and, when needed, the welcome shade. We visited lakes nearby and one in Carcassonne that had a large inflatable water park which the children and adults both enjoyed. We visited local beaches and enjoyed the cafes along the seafront. We visited the Aqua Park twice and visited Bezier several times for lunch. The local village was friendly and the markets vibrant. The holiday was exactly as we had hoped, from the ease of booking, Phil was beyond helpful, to the support from Christine and family whilst we were there. Nothing was too much trouble. We would highly recommend this property for all ages as it gives the perfect combination of a relaxed and chilled break to a full and exciting holiday. All we can say is, thank you! ##### Petra B. I’m not doing it justice, It’s wonderful every time you come home. Capestang is a 1 minute drive away at the most. Capestang is a charming and quaint french town with tons of character, Although its rural it’s got everything you’d need including 2 big supermarkets and a petrol station. The house itself is stunning and a sort of mid point between modern interior design and traditional french farm house, but in all the right ways. I loved the modern living room, bathrooms, bedrooms and pool area but not as much as the traditional farmhouse kitchen. The living room is enormous and beautifully decorated, three large patio doors open to a view of all of Capestang over the vineyards. Breathing views that you’d never get bored of looking at. The pool was crystal clear every day, the perfect temperature to cool off in and in its own enclosed gated garden which we loved as we could lock the kids in or out. The garden is also huge and well kept. The bathrooms are clean and modern, the water pressure is great, the wifi is speedy if you need it, the views are superb. Phil is a brilliant host, friendly and accommodating and always quick to reply to messages or emails. In summary just book this place, its great, you wont regret it and you’ll never want to leave. ##### James S. The house and views are spectacular but on arrival the house was not clean and had several maintenance issues. The kitchen was not clean with dirty cutlery and saucepan draws and cobwebs in all the cupboards and on the cooker hood. The bathroom toilet was broken, the shower tray In upstairs en-suite would not drain and smelt very unpleasant, the u-bend in kitchen sink leaked and flooded kitchen floor, the dishwasher had no salt on arrival and the swimming pool filter was not working properly which meant we had to clean pool every morning for at least half an hour and living room was so dusty you could write and did, ‘clean me’ in the dust on the TV and table football table. Majority of issues were raised with owner during our stay and they did try to address but the point being they should have been fixed before our arrival. Three bottles of wine to apologise did not cut it, especially as we found out the owners had been there the week and should have fixed the known problems in their own time and not our precious holiday time!! ##### Sina C. Close enough for the town's shops and market, but in a quiet hamlet. The pool was a godsend in a heatwave of 30C+ everyday. Pleasant shade under the trees. There is air-conditioning in the kitchen/dining area, and fans are available in the rest of the house. Plenty of bathrooms, too - a must. Lots of room for our group to spread out, too. Great beaches and mountains are within reach, as well as city sightseeing in Beziers and Narbonne. There's no chance of running out of things to do. All in all an enjoyable stay in a comfy house with everything you could need. ##### Philip H. Spacious accommodation with great views . Amazing pool !…with platform for children . A blessing as the heat was intense reaching 40 o . Phil the owner was very accommodating and so helpful . The villa could benefit with the installation of an air con system throughout the property particularly the rooms upstairs as the fans didn’t really cool the sleeping areas . I would definitely recommend renting this holiday villa perfect for a family with children. ##### Anne-Marie W. We had a wonderful holiday in this beautiful house. It is so relaxing, spacious and well equipped. We all adored the pool and really appreciated how child friendly it was. Given we have children of 2, 5 and 7 it was a challenge for us to find a suitable place for our holiday - Grand Saint Nazaire and the surrounding towns and cities proved perfect. We hope to be able to come back again next year! ##### Emma C. ### 10/10 Excellent #### Verified traveller 10 Sept 2018 #### Great, family friendly villa Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. The villa itself is spacious and well decorated with comfortable beds and luxurious bathrooms. The outdoor space is superb and very safe for young children. The walk into Capestang took a little longer than we had hoped (1 hour from villa to square) but that was with 2 Prams and a 4 yr old! A very pleasant 40 min walk with able adults! Phil, the owner, was excellent at responding to any queries we had. Christine, the local contact, was also very helpful. There are several wonderful daytrips in the surrounding region. Would definitely recommend this villa. ##### Verified traveller Stayed 7 nights in Sep 2018 ### 10/10 Excellent #### Kerstin M. 29 May 2018 #### Lovely spacious house in a beautiful vinyard The house is a mixture of an old French farmhouse and modern apartments. Gorgeous view to the really lovely village of Capestang. Nicely renovated bedrooms with marvelous bathrooms under the roof. The beds are really comfy! The kitchen was very well equipped. The pool area is also very beautiful and we all had a lot of fun in the really spacious pool. We had a wonderful time and a perfect stay at Grand Saint Nazaire. Phil was a perfect host and could be reached at any time. ##### Kerstin M. The house was the perfect set up for us - we were two families of 2 adults and 2 children and the house is set up very well to slightly separate the sleeping areas with 3 beds and bathrooms on both the first and second floor. The views from the living room and table area around the front of the house are stunning and look back at the town of capestang. We also sat and had a drink watching the sunset there each evening. The pool area is very private and well set up for young children as it has a shallow area the little ones can play in and the pool has a gate and alarm. We will certainly return. ##### Gareth A. We had an absolutely brilliant stay at this villa. Phil was incredibly helpful before hand helping us plan our trip and the villa itself was perfect! We travel every year as a group of 11 people ranging from age 7 to 70 and this was by far the best place we have stayed in. The Villa itself is lovely. Rooms are much bigger than average and so too are the four family sized bathrooms! Living space inside and out was also spacious meaning we didn't feel cramped or on top of each other. Outside, the pool and enclosed garden was great. The location is also perfect... about a ten to fifteen minute walk into Capestang and only a five minute drive to a large supermarket. Whilst we did spend a lot of time chilling out by the pool, on the few days we did venture out there was lots to do - the beach (30mins away)... a large waterpark (Cap D'Age 40mins), Bezier (20 mins away), inflatable waterpark (Cap D'Age again)... as well as a few more cultural visits to surrounding towns (most notably the fabulous Carcassonne). Its a definite find!! ##### Ann Marie Costelloe This review was submitted before 2018 and has not been verified. ### 10/10 Excellent #### Mandy G. 8 Aug 2017 #### Fantastic house and pool in beautiful location We had a wonderful family get-together at Grand St. Nazaire. The house was perfect for our two families. Lots of space for is all to gather, or to get away from each other if needed! The pool area was great and we had loads of fun there. It was, without doubt, the best holiday we have had in a long time. The area had so many things to do - some highlights being Carcassone, Beziers, canoeing at Roquebrun and the ropes course at Beziers Adventures. Phil was a wonderful host and ensured that everything went smoothly for us. We hope to be back! ##### Mandy G. Great for a large group of family or/and friends specially with the garden and its lovely swimming poo. A large and well equipped kitchen area, perfect to organise gigantic gastronomic dinner specially with the great food and wine of this area! Well decorated and Large bedrooms and plenty of bathrooms and indoor spaces to relax in small group or bigger ones. And around lots of things to see, visit and do! The house was superb, it was large and roomy and perfect for our two families, it was also well equipped and spotless. The location was what attracted us in the first instance as it was close to a small town and all the essential facilities but also within close reach of the beaches and larger towns. We spent many days at the pool in the October sun and enjoyed the evening views from the lounge over Capestang. We had one small issue with the heating while we were there but an email to Phil had the matter resolved quickly and efficiently. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the property and hope that I can return sometime in the future. ##### Caroline S. The house and fantastic pool were welcoming to baby and great grandparents alike. Booking was easy, helpful tips of how to make the best of the time provided and even local champagne given for the actual birthday. Sylvie cleaned house and pool beautifully without impeding on our privacy. Could not have wished for more, the place exceeded description and expectation and made the holiday for all of us. This review was submitted before 2018 and has not been verified. ### 10/10 Excellent #### Tamsin P. 15 Sept 2015 #### Fantastic holiday house for large family group We had a wonderful 2 week holiday at St Nazaire. It is in a beautiful setting surrounded by vineyards with the pretty village of Capestang in the distance. It was perfect for our 2 families-4 adults and 4 kids (under 8). It has a huge kitchen with everything we needed including a long table. There is plenty of other space downstairs with a massive sitting room with a beautiful view and table football to keep kids occupied when not in the pool! There is a locked gate/fence around the pool/garden area making it v safe for young kids. They loved the pool which has a shallow end with steps perfect for paddling. The garden around the pool has some lovely tree-shaded areas with hammock/tree seat for siestas on hot days. There is also a large shaded seating area with bbq just outside the kitchen where we ate most meals. There are 2 good-sized supermarkets about 5 min drive away in Capestang (Lidl and Inter-marche). We also enjoyed going to the bakeries and market (Sun/Wed) in the village. There are some great restaurants there too-handy to take torch if walking back at night along road! Phil gave us a lot of really useful info before we went. Sylvie and Romain looked after the pool/house/garden and were always happy to help and patient with our attempts at French! We spent a few days at the beach (about 30min drive) and also a day at a beautiful place on the river Orb, Roquebrun. The rest of the time everyone was v happy playing/relaxing in the pool and garden. It really is an idyllic house and location and I'd thoroughly recommend it. We hope to return. ##### Tamsin P. ## Expedia's Latest Trends ### Hotels > [Hôtel De Bastard](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Lectoure-Hotels-Hotel-De-Bastard.h5020884.Hotel-Information) > > [Pullman Toulouse](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Toulouse-Hotels-Pullman-Toulouse-Airport.h15391.Hotel-Information) > > [Hotel La Solitude](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Lourdes-Hotels-Hotel-La-Solitude.h1367369.Hotel-Information) > > [Hôtel Beau Site](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Lourdes-Hotels-Hotel-Beau-Site.h860534.Hotel-Information) > > [Hôtel ALBA](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Lourdes-Hotels-Hotel-ALBA.h860535.Hotel-Information) > > [Hotel Padoue](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Lourdes-Hotels-Hotel-Padoue.h2543215.Hotel-Information) > > [Hôtel SOCLO](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Toulouse-Hotels-SOCLO.h71085831.Hotel-Information) > > [Camping Le Pin Parasol](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Beziers-Hotels-Camping-Le-Pin-Parasol.h25789623.Hotel-Information) > > [Hôtel Le Donjon - Coeur de la Cité Médiévale](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Carcassonne-Hotels-Hotel-Le-Donjon-Coeur-De-La-Cite-Medievale.h14845.Hotel-Information) > > [Hôtel Port Marine - Sète](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Montpellier-Hotels-Hotel-Port-Marine-Sete.h1584237.Hotel-Information) > > [Hôtel Montmorency](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Carcassonne-Hotels-Hotel-Montmorency.h4322726.Hotel-Information) > > [Tribe Carcassonne](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Carcassonne-Hotels-Tribe-Carcassonne.h558308.Hotel-Information) > > [Whaka Lodge](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Seissan-Hotels-Whaka-Lodge.h60366351.Hotel-Information) > > [Le Boudoir](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Lectoure-Hotels-Le-Boudoir.h26785263.Hotel-Information) > > [Hotel Roissy Lourdes](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Lourdes-Hotels-Hotel-Roissy-Lourdes.h901141.Hotel-Information) > > [Hotel Mediterranee](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Lourdes-Hotels-Hotel-Mediterranee.h788412.Hotel-Information) > > [Camping de Pujol](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Argeles-Sur-Mer-Hotels-CAMPING-DE-PUJOL.h51650728.Hotel-Information) > > [Le Pressoir](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Saint-Chinian-Hotels-Le-Pressoir.h4801090.Hotel-Information) > > [Mercure Carcassonne la Cite Hotel](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Carcassonne-Hotels-Mercure-Carcassonne-La-Cite-Hotel.h459.Hotel-Information) > > [ZeroNeuf B&B](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Gaudies-Hotels-ZeroNeuf-BB.h33313001.Hotel-Information) > > [Hôtel Oceania Le Métropole Montpellier](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Montpellier-Hotels-Hotel-Oceania-Le-Metropole-Montpellier.h25884.Hotel-Information) > > [Villa 5* Gard | Heated Pool, Absolute Peace, Private Garden - La Cèzenole](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Mejannes-Le-Clap-Hotels-Villa-4-Heated-Pool-Holiday-Home-In-Gard.h18954635.Hotel-Information) > > [Hotel Eliseo](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Lourdes-Hotels-Hotel-Eliseo.h1289209.Hotel-Information) > > [Hotel de la Cité Carcassonne - MGallery Collection](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Carcassonne-Hotels-Hotel-De-La-Cite-Carcassonne-MGallery-Collection.h438449.Hotel-Information) > > [Plaza Hotel Capitole Toulouse](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Toulouse-Hotels-Plaza-Hotel-Capitole-Toulouse.h23552.Hotel-Information) > > [SOWELL HÔTELS Les Chevaliers](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Carcassonne-Hotels-SOWELL-HOTELS-Les-Chevaliers.h21722825.Hotel-Information) > > [Novotel Toulouse Centre Compans Caffarelli](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Toulouse-Hotels-Novotel-Toulouse-Centre-Compans-Caffarelli.h1601.Hotel-Information) > > [Village Castigno - Wine hotel & resort](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Assignan-Hotels-Village-Castigno-Wine-Hotel-Resort.h25039077.Hotel-Information) > > [SOWELL COLLECTION Hôtel du Roi & SPA](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Carcassonne-Hotels-HAtel-Du-Roi-By-Sowell.h48805980.Hotel-Information) > > [Garden & City Cauterets Balneo](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Cauterets-Hotels-Garden-City-Cauterets-Balneo.h1237273.Hotel-Information)
