"Large wine estate with expansive views of vineyards, mountains, and gardens. Ibis around the lake on the property. Very spacious and well appointed rooms.
Breakfast was excellent - large continental buffet with a wide variety of egg dishes ordered from the menu. Service at the resort was excellent."

"Lovely place, wonderful staff and gorgeous rooms in a very walkable and charming part of Swellendam. Bonus points for great running routes on the nearby mountain. Breakfast was extraordinary and in itself worth the trip. Would love to come back. "

A short but very sweet stopover for us at this lodge. The staff are beyond excellent and offered great service, activities and fabulous food. So glad we stayed and suggest you do too.

A great stay at the Mount Nelson - exemplary service, wonderful afternoon tea with a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Upgraded on arrival to a suite which got the holiday off to a great start.

Truly a luxury experience with champagne welcome, three course breakfasts, real fires in the rooms and staff, at all levels, who were welcoming and helpful. Would highly recommend this accommodation - beautiful rooms in a beautiful setting which was enhanced by the service provided by the staff through the car being washed in the morning, fires being lit in your room in the evening to the outstanding food and willingness by the staff to make your holiday a wonderful experience.

A fabulous small boutique hotel 20 mins from city centre. Wonderful, knowledgeable and friendly staff. A fantastic restaurant with stunning tasting menu experience and wine list. We can highly recommend as an alternative to the city centre option

Sebastian and Jennie were the most perfect hosts, going out of their way to help with transport, accommodation needs and recommendations. The breakfasts were wonderful as was the closeness to the beach, the coastal path and restaurants. Faultless!

Very friendly check in at the hotel - gave us a full tour and showed us the key features in the room. Excellent club lounge with drinks and nibbles during happy hour. Comfortable and well maintained.

The hotel had only been open for 5 weeks when we stayed, but we were very impressed with the operation and the facilities available. Very large bed was really comfortable, aircon worked well and the balcony opening out on to a young vineyard was a lovely extra touch.
Breakfast on both mornings was great, with lots of options including hot dishes. The gym was well-appointed (by hotel standards), and the sauna was a lovely touch of relaxation during our stay.

A perfect country house set amongst a vineyards, with comfort and service levels to match. Holden Manz is a working vineyard and produces some very nice wines; you can try these as part of an organised wine tasting, or with dinner in the very nice restaurant on site. The house itself has very generous and beautifully furnished public areas, as well as a pool area, gardens, an orchard, and of course the vineyard itself. I stayed in the Oliphant Suite which has panoramic views over the vines,...

A beautiful property overlooking the sea. We really loved staying here.
Very clean and good breakfast. Staff were very helpful. The beds were very comfortable. I would recommend staying here for the views, whales, walks and just relaxing.
