This effectively is the end of the 2 wheel drive road. Our King hut was comfortable had a bathroom with shower, air conditioning and a ceiling fan. In a semi private area the porch with outside chairs and table was a nice spot to relax. The shared facilities at the camp were great, good bathrooms, a large kitchen, refrigeration and coin operated washing machines. The on site Cafe offers breakfast and lunch. The camp has a swimming pool and is where the Great Barrier Reef Ocean Safari leaves from. It was modern, very comfortable and clean. Our cabin was very clean, & was big enough for 3 of us for 3 nights. The amenities were clean and close by. The camp kitchen also close by and a lovely spot to chat with other visitors. We loved the gardens and pool area, and just a short walk through the forest to the beach. Make sure to grab a bite at Turtle Rock cafe, and highly recommend booking a tour with Ocean Safari. Everything you need right at your doorstep.
