The location finishings and ameneties as well as the hosts attitudes and cleaning services provided are the top end. Would highly recommend staying here. ##### Sacha M. Couldn't have asked for more. We had a wonderful 8 nights at the house. Great place for a family trip as it is spacious and in a great location. Just wish we had gone when it was a bit warmer as I would have loved to eat on the deck. The coffee shops (3 of them) on the street are fab. ##### Juliette D. Very comfortable for 4 but could hold more. Great people and excellent location. Across from supermarket and restaurants and a short walk to Victoria wharf. Highly recommended. Comfortable beds, large rooms, excellent wi-fi and fully equipped kitchen. ##### Robert K. A traditional cottage house, but very secure and totally modernised. Clean and well maintained. Perfect for 4 people. Plenty of shops, cafes, restaurants and bars all within walking distance. Love Cape Town!! Great service from the managing agents ##### Lawrence S. It's very well located -- on a quiet street but located in a vibrant area. The house itself is great - beautiful design and well furnished with everything you might need. The staff was fantastic -- even letting us use the shower after we checked out when we became muddied after a hike. Couple other notes: the house does not have AC but even in the middle of the summer, it want a big deal and the ceiling fan kept us comfortable. There is some noise from a nearby bar, but it may have been louder than usual due to the New Years Eve time period when we visited. ##### Saurabh S. Two bedrooms, plus a third room with a pull-out couch that was perfect for one person. The property was clean and was serviced during our five night stay. The owner was responsive, and Emma, who met us upon arrival was in constant contact with us. The WiFi worked well and the rooftop patio was a special treat. The neighborhood had several restaurants, a view of Table Mountain, and a grocery store around the corner. Parking was not an issue in the evenings. We felt safe at the house and truly enjoyed feeling at home there. I'd highly recommend this property! ##### Mandi L. The place is overall very well maintained and spotless clean. It looks exactly as in the photos. The rooms are very confortable and there is plenty of space to spread around (living room, TV room, a lovely terrace!!) and the kitchen is very well equipped (Nespresso machine!), so it really feels like home. So much better than staying in a hotel! The neighbourhood is beautiful. Lots of restaurants and design stores at walking distance. Both the owner and the property manager are an example of good costumer service. We would definitely recommend this place to our friends. ##### Milagros N. ### 10/10 Excellent #### Krista D. 3 Jan 2022 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Lovely livable house, great location This house was perfect for us - family of four with two teens. It was very comfortable - every amenity was provided and it’s close to restaurants and the Cape Quarter stores. Street parking is no problem. Thank you! ##### Krista D. Stayed 5 nights in Dec 2021 ### 10/10 Excellent #### Steven C. 1 Jan 2020 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### A perfect place to stay in Cape Town--HIGHLY recommended This is a fantastic home in a great area of Cape Town, adjacent to plenty of street parking, a lovely shopping center with an amazing SPAR grocery store just around the corner. The home itself is beautiful and incredibly clean--not a speck of dust anywhere. I really can't praise it enough. This is one of those rental places you wish you actually lived in. Comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen, incredible views, a rooftop terrace--- I could go on and on. We were met at the property by a very nice young lady named Fiona right on time, and everything was just as advertised. Only two small caveats: 1) There are many stairs as each bedroom is on a different level, so if you travel with someone who has trouble with that, this would not be for you. 2) Directly across the street is a gay club which seems to be open 24 hours a day, and on a couple of mornings (at 5AM!) there was a lot of noise of people shouting and laughing and partying. --would recommend closing windows at night--it was pretty cold at night despite it being summer, so that's no problem, and windows keep out the noise well. ##### Steven C. Stayed 4 nights in Dec 2019 ### 10/10 Excellent #### Jennifer A. 29 Dec 2018 #### Fabulous! The house was great - perfect for our group of 2 couples and an awesome location for our stay. Virginia and Emma were very helpful and accommodating. Overall, our experience could not have been better! ##### Jennifer A. Stayed 3 nights in Dec 2018 ### 10/10 Excellent #### Margot Denise O., United Kingdom 11 Feb 2018 #### A little Gem What a beautiful house situated in the Cape Quarter giving easy access to lots of amenities lovely restaurants close by. The property is very spacious and has everything you need a home from home . A lovely roof top terrace to enjoy a glass of the local wines a small court yard which we used for breakfast all in all we couldn't have asked for more it exceeded our expectations ##### Margot Denise O. Stayed 5 nights in Jan 2018 ### 8/10 Good #### Mark J. 21 Jan 2018 #### Good location, clean, comfortable accommodation. Very comfortable, well equipped and clean. Rooftop terrace a nice touch but wouldn't like to tackle the spiral staircase after a couple of drinks. Close to a few restaurants for breakfast and walkable distance to wider choice of bars and cafes. We used uber for transport to V&A and other attractions as really cheap rather than other taxi firms. No air con but ceiling fans in bedroom helped. Road can be quite noisy but we closed windows at night and wasn't a problem at all. A simple map in the house of local recommended restaurants might be a good idea. We did the city sightseeing bus for a couple of days and would strongly recommend. Table mountain, the Constantia wine lands and township walking tours are all good ( we did Robyn Island previously). We took a helicopter flight, amazing views. Would definitely stay in the accommodation again. Very LGBT friendly area. ##### Mark J. We had a great stay. Virgina’s House was perfect for us. We are a family of four, lots of room. The house was so beautifully decorated, many lovely and special pieces of art everywhere. The kitchen had everything you needed, encluding a Nespresso machine. The bathrooms were big with lovely products to use in the showers. The roof top patio was fantastic with great views. The area was great and really central. Lots of cool restaurants and cafes close by. We walked everyday to the Water front it’s nice and close. We parked our right out front the house, and it was fine. We felt very safe. Emma was great (lady who showed us the house) very down to earth. We are Canadian but have been living in Europe for 7 years. We have been traveling a lot and we’ve stayed in many house over this time and Virgina’s place was the best! Looking forward to our return. ##### Penny and Sean T. Very safe area to walk around in; shops and restaurants, and a small mall which has a large SPAR supermarket close by. Typical city street noise, the business across the street had occasionally loud patrons at night. Available free parking on the street in front. All the creature comforts of home, including all appliances you could ever need. Courtyard patio and rooftop deck for outside space. Two bedrooms plus den and living room, lovely decor. Wifi works better in some areas, and not at all on the roof. Towels and bed linens high quality, and the beds are firm. Good water pressure in the large bathroom shower. Highly recommended. Thank you for our stay! ##### Joanne M. We were visiting in July so it was unfortunately too cold to enjoy the rooftop deck but it has a beautiful view of Table Mountain. The owners were very responsive when booking our stay and the housing manager was very flexible with our check-in and check-out times. I highly recommend this home for a family who is looking to explore Cape Town! ##### Katie H. It was beautiful, spacious, roomy, fantastic with three bathrooms and two lovely bedrooms! We loved the kitchen and all the patio space! The location was phenomenal as we were able to walk everywhere! And to top it off we had Emma as the contact person! She was accommodating and just lovely! Restaurants were walking distance and amenities such as a supermarket and anything else you may need! I highly recommend this place as one of my favorite in Capetown! ##### Ivelisse R. The terrace at the top is perfect for enjoying a glass of wine with Table Mountain in the background. Perfectly located in the heart of De Waterkant on Jarvis street, you're only a short walk away from a plethora of bars and restaurants. Highly recommended! Only wish we could've stayed longer! ##### James C. Only downside was it was noisy over the weekend due to a club across the street. The house, its layout, its furnishings, and its location are great. ##### Warren H. We arrived at 25 Jarvis on Christmas Day after nearly 30 hours of travel. We had arranged for the housekeeper Emma to help us with some groceries beforehand so everything we needed was there when we arrived. It is a lovely house with all the modern amenities - perfect for 4, adult sized people (we travelled with our 20 year old son and 17 year old daughter). Located in the gay district of Cape Town which didn't phase our family one bit. Excellent restaurants and cafe's all around. Walking distance to V&A, Robben Island Ferry and the Bree/Long Street area. Security guys were visible in the neighbourhood and we felt very safe. My son even got his hair cut at the salon across the street. Owner Virginia is based in Italy and was terrific to deal with. Her local partners Emma and Giorgia were exceptional and very helpful! We wish we had more time in Cape Town. If we ever get the chance to go back, we wouldn't hesitate to stay at 25 Jarvis again. Grazie Mille!! ##### Jill L. If you are a family of no more than 5, then this property has everything you'll need for your stay in Cape Town. We stayed here for four days, the last leg of our trip to South Africa, so I wanted it to be a great ending to our family holiday and it did not disappoint. We were met my a delightful lady who managed the property for the owner. She was contactable during our stay, just in case we needed anything (we didn't) and met us at the end to check out if everything had been to our expectations - and of course to check out the property. The owner of the property was very pleasant, helpful and responsive, which is what you need when arranging your holiday accommodation. Each room was a delight to walk into, pristine and tastefully decorated with each of the two bedrooms having ceiling fans - great on warm nights in Cape Town. There's a second sitting area with a sofa-bed and its own bathroom with shower. This did not have a ceiling fan (could have done with a desk fan when the weather was hot), but didn't spoil our stay. The main bedroom and the sofa-bed room have flat screen TV's - which were only used by younger family members as meals were being prepared. Free WiFi was available with good access in most rooms. It's located near local shops and restaurants, which are close enough (2 to 3 minutes walk), but not so close that you get bothered by any noise. The famous V&A waterfront area is a pleasant 20-25 minutes stroll away - but if it's hot and you don't fancy the walk, you can always drive to one of the several car parks located at the V&A. Parking by the property is free, but not always easy to get when it's busy so on occasions I had to park about 3-5 minutes away. A word of advise when leaving on your final day - get up at around 06:30 and re-park the car if you need to, as I found plenty of parking in the street at that time (actually right outside) which was great when re-loading the car. I'd recommend this property to family and friends, but only to those who don't have young children. The house has wooden floor and matching stairs, so young children may miss the steps and fall - plus the top roof area - although great for watching the sun go down in the evening, would be a parent's nightmare, as it's easily accessible - great for adults, but too risky for kids who love to explore. For our family of adults, it was ideal and would certainly be a place we'd all be happy to stay again when visiting Cape Town. Highly recommended. ##### Philip W. Everything was provided and all at a superior quality. The location was perfect, close to great restaurants and shops. We have been to Capetown many times but his stay was our best and we will definitely be back. Having the outdoor spaces was perfect too and the house suited us and our 7 year old daughter and family friend. Thank you! ##### Janie Horlock This review was submitted before 2018 and has not been verified. Paolo Flaviani Maddalena Monari Daniele Martini ##### Paolo F. Virginia was very helpful. The house is centrally located in Cape Town. Shopping, restaurants and bars are all within walking distance. The tastefully decorated house is fully equipped. There is nothing you will miss. We were warmly welcomed by Giorgia. During our stay we felt very safe and comfortable. Especially much time we spent on the great roof terrace. The culinary offer in Cape Town is very diverse, good and inexpensive. We will come back in any case. ##### Ben H.
