Viking Lodge Motel

Viking Lodge Motel

8/10 Good
"Stayed 2 nights. As far as motels go it was fine. Not fancy. A bit dated but clean. It does have a fire pit and a lovely view of Pistolet Bay. There are no restaurants close by so plan accordingly if you are arriving around dinner time and don’t want to drive after dark."

Burnt Cape Cabins

10/10 Excellent
"Arrived late, able to reach just immediately for further instruction. The place was very clean and comfortable. Not that it was a big deal but I thought the cottage was stand alone and we were connected, it was a little misleading. But overall extremely happy and worth the 5 stars. Yes, I would recommend anyone staying in the future"

"We were surprised at the rooming house set up at first. Luckily others were not too loud and were friendly - most people were long-stay residents. Claude and Phyllis (who cane each evening) were so welcoming and explained several things we needed to know! Location was very good for us, and we were away daily for the opportunities in the area!"

"Clyde was great! He was very welcoming and made us feel right at home. He gave us delicious moose burgers and cod. We loved our stay in Cook’s Harbour. It’s so close to many of the things we wanted to do. It’s also great having the Decker’s store right next door. So many things to choose from for our meals. The house was very clean and spacious. We hope to be back some day!"
