So overall we had a great time in Ogunquit, amazing location & proximity to everything. The house is beautiful but maintenance wasn’t ready for our arrival, The house was spot clean but we definitely were the first to check in for the season. A few important details were missed and some things were beyond control, which created some havoc for our trip! Upon arrival we found the grounds unkept- specially one of the bushes had overgrown onto the deck, the deck rail was broken and my 3 year old son immediately got poison ivy in the front yard. Luckily I had my garden shears, after two days of rain, the bush was toke over. There were spider webs and corners creepy crawlers everywhere! 4thof July happened to be the hottest day of the year in the NE, the refrigerator died because the house was so hot, (no ac on the 1st floor) causing us to delay or celebration and having a significant trash issue. Spoiled food had to be stored in coolers for 4 days till trash day! The house was not ready for the heat-because the wallpaper began to peel as well. The locks were rbroken on the doors-thank god we were in Maine-While some of this could have been avoided with a simple walk through before arrival, some of this was global warming. I definitely explained all these things when dropping the keys off to the managers- but I received a disgusting message saying I was going to be charged for leaving extra trash resulting in more time for cleaners. Not ok considering! See photos!

Overall, this beautiful and comfortable old farmhouse was wonderful for our stay in Ogunquit. While we had a great experience, there were a few minor housekeeping and maintenance details that could use some refinement, including a need for extra basic toiletries. Additionally, we hope the owners can invest in repairing a few key areas of the deck railing. None of this negatively impacted our stay though, and we would consider staying again!

House is comfortable and plenty spacious enough for 5 of us, and less than a 10 minute walk to Perkins Cove. It’s 2 miles from town center and the main beach so you have to plan for how to get back and forth-car and pay for parking, trolley, or taxi. I gave feedback to owners to add a few amenities (ie a downstairs fan) to make future stays more comfortable so hopefully they will implement those. We had one issue while we were there and they were very responsive in addressing it.
