Gorgeous property! Would stay for a week if I could! Perfect Atlantic coast bed and breakfast feel. Easy walking to Washington Street Mall which is where all the tourist shops and restaurants are and the ocean and boardwalk right across the street.

We had a room on the fifth floor. Only one elevator that the staff had to operate so we walked up and down five flights of stairs many times. But it is an old building so I guess I should have expected it.

We have been coming to the inn of Cape may for years!. We love this place and Cape may. The new owners have really done a great job with all the changes while still maintaining the old time feel. Staff has been expanded, which was necessary and everyone was friendly and attentive!

Beautiful hotel! Room was well set up and we had a lovely view out to the ocean. The hotel was a beautiful old Victorian building full of charm. We enjoyed happy hour at the bar with very tasty appetizers and the breakfast was great too. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Nothing beats this location, directly across the street from the beach, minutes from the Washington Mall, and within easy walking distance of restaurants and shops. The inn has genuine historic charm, from its classic atmosphere to the original manual elevator, and breakfast was excellent, especially enjoyed on the porch. The pool was also a nice amenity. As with many historic properties, some areas could use updating and maintenance. We stayed in the suite for our first two nights, which was clearly in need of renovation, and the entry door to our room was very difficult to lock and unlock. After extending our stay, we moved to a King Ocean Room that had been updated and was in much better condition. Overall, this is a very charming inn in an outstanding location. We would gladly return.

Great location across from the beach. Very close to Washington St. with restaurants and shops. Nice that they gave us a pass to get umbrella and chairs although the chairs could use replacing as they were a bit rusty. The pool was nice. The view was nice. Most staff members were pleasant. I know the structure is old but was disappointed that the bathroom door would not stay shut. I think they could fix that. We had a suite and one of the TVs did not work. The most disappointing thing was drying off after a shower and getting lint all over us. Apparently they gave us new towels without washing them first.

The room was very clean. The front desk associate was brusk but helpful. A staff member had to take us up and down the elevator (lift), so we mostly went up and down the stairs to our third floor room, aside from arriving and departing with our bags, when we used the elevator. There was live music on the property both nights we were there and the music was terrific. The restaurant was quite good for dinner and breakfast. We appreciated the included parking, and the two beach chairs and one beach umbrella when we went to the beach.

We really wanted to love our stay, especially after booking an ocean-view room, but unfortunately we were disappointed. The room had no refrigerator or microwave, the shower was extremely small, and the bed was uncomfortable and seemed to slope toward the headboard. We also found some dirt/debris in the bed before sleeping in it. Our “ocean view” was partially blocked by a large rooftop. We were on the 5th floor, and although there was a tiny elevator, it seemed to require staff assistance, so we felt like we were bothering someone to use it and ended up taking the stairs most of the time. The mini-split also wouldn’t cool the room below 71° for most of the time , so sleeping was uncomfortably warm. The staff was mostly friendly and courteous. However, on our last night we had pizza delivered to our room and were told afterward that we should have gone downstairs to get it not delivered to our room. We also couldn’t eat on the attached restaurant’s outdoor patio because it was outside food, but were allowed to eat it in the lobby. Overall, for the price and an ocean-view room, we expected a more comfortable and relaxing experience and probably wouldn’t stay again.

The location and porch were hard to beat. Exactly what we had hoped for. That ended when you got to the room. Old is one thing. Falling apart is another. Bathroom was tiny no room to put anything. Shower had zero pressure and cold was hot and hot was cold. Air conditioner barely worked and could not open windows. Tv did not work at all even after I told front desk. The cables sticking out from wall tripped me in the middle of the night. Only 1 of 3 ceiling lights worked. Huge cracks in ceiling. Duct cover was hanging off and all electrical wires were exposed. Bed was not comfortable neither were the pillows and housekeeping barely bothered to make it the following day. Outlets were not available to charge anything and only one worked. Hotel charged extra for everything. Did not even offer complimentary coffee in morning. If you ate breakfast there they gave you a coupon, but servers did not return to table to refill coffee cup or ask if you needed anything else. It was not a venue we would ever return to no matter how nice the porch.

Went with a group to see the Murder Mystery dinner ( underwhelming) so we thought we would stay right at the hotel that was featuring it. The hotel is unique and well maintained with a nice pool and close proximity to the beach and shopping. They offer 2 beach tags and chairs at the beach so if you have more than 2 in your group be prepared to pay for more beach tags and only 2 chairs. We ate at the hotel restaurant for lunch and breakfast. Our meals were great! We sat out on the lovely porch which was nice but they need bigger tables for a party of 4, or smaller plates to fit on the tables. When we made the reservation for a suite it showed a suite with a nice view. We ended up with (what they considered a 2 bedroom suite) basically 2 adjoining rooms looking at a wall and the back of the building next door, with a bathroom in one of the rooms. Overall, we enjoyed our trip and would return.

There was no stress parking. The staff was adequate. The room was small and sparse. No coffee maker nor refrigerator. A refrigerator was an extra charge. While I do understand summer pricing is on the high side, I feel that we should have received more amenities for the room cost.

The room was extremely small and had fire hazard conditions. There was no elevator due to a broken back, and it required 20 steps to climb. The A/C unit didn't work like a Dollar General store unit. The water flow was weak. The front desk staff, a young girl, was very rude! The restaurant was rude& very expensive; go elsewhere. Bellhop was kind& pretty close by walking to the beach. We definitely won't stay here again.

Staff was very nice and very helpful. Bed was very comfortable. The location to the beach is fantastic. The inn also gives you two beach chairs and an umbrella. BUT Very much in need of upkeep.musty mildew smell throughout hotel. Everything you touch feels sticky wet. The banisters, the bar, doors.Shower had no pressure and either you froze or were getting scalded, no happy medium. Bathroom door broken and did not close. 1 bath towel and you can’t call down 4 flights of stairs because there isn’t a phone in the room. The elevator is only operated on request by staff. The pool is nice but at 6pm they close it. It’s a magnificent inn with abundant history but it is pricey and desperately needs care.

Room was very sparse, no coffee maker, only one picture on wall, no end tables, ocean view room, but could not pull up blinds to see the ocean. Breakfast was good but they touted fresh-baked cinnamon rolls but there were none. Parking was convenient and free. Building was beautifully restored.

The inn reminds me of a converted brownstone. The room we stayed in was okay. It had a lot of light, large bed, normal bathroom. But it didn’t have a full length mirror even though it had plenty of wall space for that. It also looked like the walls were painted over multiple times- like a ny city apartment. I enjoyed the inn, it had a restaurant with live music and a mini convenient store that was always open by the front desk. The location is central to the beach and the Washington street mall. I just think the price is expensive for what you are getting- but it’s what all the hotels are charging- so they are in the range. Staff was extremely helpful and nice. One of the hostesses we wound up seeing the next day working in the fudge shop. Quaint town.

Our stay was excellent due to staff's customer service, from our first step into the inn, we were greeted with a welcoming feeling. Luka helped us unpack the car and delivered our bags to our room. The staff at check in was very friendly and professional. The servers on the porch and in the restaurant were great, especially Anna, who always had a smile. Definitely check out the happy hour, the food choice was great! The location was perfect, we walked to most places and didn't need to move our car from the convenient parking lot. Our room was cleaned every day with fresh luxurious towels. The inn is cozy and could use a little maintenance TLC, but I'm sure it comes in the off season. We will definitely go back!
