This is our fourth stay at the Haneys’ guesthouse, and it was just as wonderful as the previous ones. We appreciate the wooded nature setting, the farm and garden, the dock on the river, the friendliness of the family and their cats and dog, the well-appointed kitchen, and so much more. Be back next year!
This place was a perfect getaway for us and our young kids! The space was clean, well-maintained, and had everything we could possibly need. The property is so peaceful and just a short drive from town - we were happy to be slightly removed from the busyness of town. The Haney family was so hospitable and even their animals were happy to greet us! We will definitely be visiting again!
Our third year spending a week at this place was perfect, even despite chilly weather. The family, farm, back porch swing, and dock out on the water were as welcoming and peaceful as ever. We can't wait to come back next year!
This property is beautiful! We enjoyed our long weekend away at this peaceful place! The whole area was clean and offered everything you could need! The family is so sweet and the animals are great to be around. We enjoyed the walk through the trails out to the water. We hope to be back again in the coming years!
Erin and Thomas are amazing hosts. This was a getaway for just me and my husband which was LONG overdue. This was the perfect home base for us. Close enough to all we wanted to do and also a place to just rest and relax, which is what we needed.
The property is absolutely beautiful. Location was perfect. Home baked bread and fresh eggs were the perfect touch.
Can’t wait to go back!!
This is our second year of hopefully many at this place! The house is just big enough for us and our two young children - clean, nicely decorated, tidy, comfortable, with a well stocked kitchen and lovely farm views out each window. The back porch is tree shaded and peaceful, and there is a short walk through the woods to an inlet - dock, bench, hammock, swings in the trees. Lots of birds. We used to come to the Eastern Shore mostly for the beach, but now we come mostly for this place of beauty and peace.
Totally pleased and impressed with facility, setting, owners, and the experience. A real gem of a guest house that we hope to use on future trips to Cape Charles.
This property is amazing! My husband and I stayed in the guest house to attend a wedding reception and family reunion in Cape Charles. It was our calm in the middle of the crazy that accompanies these events. We spent mornings on the pier or on the back porch relaxing. We loved getting a guided tour of the farm from the children that live here. The house is immaculate, modern and has every posssible item you need! We didn't want to leave.
What a relaxing stay my family and I had in Cape Charles. Quiet, peaceful, clean, comfortable and safe at this one of a kind beautiful rental. We will definitely be back once there is an opening in the calendar :)
Our stay at Thomas and Erin's guest house was the best we've ever had on the Eastern Shore. The farm and wooded trail and inlet setting provided the place of peace we needed, and plenty of room for our girls to explore the outdoors. The drive to the beach at Cape Charles was quick and easy, but we hardly felt we needed to go, since the farm setting was so enjoyable! The house itself is even better than the pictures show - fresh and clean, very updated with lots of amenities. We will definitely be making this our place to stay on vacation from now on.
Staying at this amazing little guest house was a dream! The interior is completely updated and the owners have equipped it with everything you could need. The family was very hospitable and welcoming. Our little ones got to kayak, play with farm animals, and explore the wilderness. Couldn’t have asked for more.
