Becky thinks of everything for your stay. The location is absolutely beautiful and very close to town while still being in the country. We will be staying here again without a doubt!
Great place to stay and explore the area. Had everything we needed to be comfortable and enjoy our stay. Really enjoyed the skylights over the bed to see the stars at night!
The Super Chief is a unique place to stay to say the least. We found it to be comfortable and clean. The view from the patio and the picture window is very relaxing, open fields with rabbits and scaled quail are quite common. If your looking for tranquility this is a good place to spend a few nights.
This is wonderful little place to stay. Everything we needed and more, beautifully decorated the master bed was perfict! We will certianly be back anytime we are in the Amarillo area! Thank you, Craig & Jean

Real Boxcar with lots of personality in western decor. Travel books for ideas available. Could grill outside if you planned & brought meat/potatoes. Quiet location in pasture. Park right next to patio.
One of the coolest places we have ever stayed! Very clean, comfortable, and cozy! Had to talk with the manager about the reservation. She was very friendly and helpful. We would love to stay here again and we recommend it!
We loved staying at the Superchief Boxcar. We came to visit Palo Duro State Park and Caprock Canyon State Park. It was the perfect location. Becky was a great host. She provided snacks, drinks, creamer, coffee, and privacy. We loved the train car and highly recommend it.

We had a wonderful stay in the boxcar. The location is private, quiet, and offers some beautiful views. We enjoyed the local brew and it was nice to have a few snacks also. I can’t get over how cute the car is decorated. No detail was left untouched and it shows! Do not hesitate to book this little gem. You will not be disappointed.
My family and I traveled to Texas for some dog training work. We chose this property because it was super cool staying in a box car and the views looked spectacular. We're so glad that we made this choice! The views did not disappoint, you can say for miles. And the sunrise and sunsets are unobstructed and gorgeous.
Found this gem looking for a get away for myself and my husband. Lovely place just as pictured! Becky was amazing since the moment I booked, her communication was extremely welcoming. The weather dropped to freezing temperatures but she had it nice and warm by the time we got there. I love that she had little treats for us and the extra toiletry essentials! You can tell she truly cares for her guests and she goes above and beyond. It’s a perfect get away spot, cozy and beautiful scenery. we got to see the horses across the way as we left. We will definitely be returning and next time with our little ones. Thank you Becky for such amazing hospitality and a good experience!!! -XOXO
What a fun stay - Texas hospitality all rolled up in a neat little boxcar! We needed one brief night only, but would have loved to stay longer. Renovators will love seeing remnants of the original rustic boxcar blended into a modern, updated comfortable hotel suite in the middle of the Texas prairie. Industrial strap anchors in the wall wait to be useful to hang cosmetic bags. Skylights have been incorporated into both ends of the car to increase natural light. And windows are limited to reduce visibility of distant neighbors. The car sits on a solid cement base that provides stability for the car and a large fenced patio area to be enjoyed by both humans and fur babies. The host has provided all comfort amenities like snacks (my favorite were the popsicles in the freezer), filtered water ready to drink in the fridge, blankets, Texas themed books (historical and fiction), assorted Texas state magazines, teas and coffees. The only items we found missing were Texas honey as an alternative sweetener, and vintage records to listen to. Due to limited time, we did not cook, so I cannot speak to that. The host is easy to get in contact with and made immediate adjustments to correct a situation that arose. I highly recommend a stay here.
Well appointed, clean and cozy! Host was easy to communicate with and responded quickly. Pinning this stay to our favorites for future bookings! Easy drive to Palo Duro Canyon and the town of Canyon.
Such a cool & unique boxcar!Great hospitality & detail … the extras were great! Excellent location!Host friendly & attentive … will definitely share with fam& friends!
So beautiful and serene. So many beautiful and well thought out details. Highly highly recommend.

Such a cool little place, and lots of thoughtful touches like snacks and necessities. The host was great and even gave us local dining suggestions. Great view of the sunset from the porch. I would definitely stay again.
The Super Chief was a great place to stay on our way up to Colorado. It is well equipped and comfortable. We loved the patio with an excellent view of the sunset.
We LOVED our stay at the railcar! This was a fantastic find and perfect for our family of 4. My boys (kids) loved that we were staying somewhere different than a hotel. Our host was very responsive and welcoming! We will definitely stay here next time we are in the area.

This is such a fantastic one bedroom property, perfect for me and my husband and our two dogs. The host provided several thoughtful touches, including snacks, drinks, a filtered water pitcher in the fridge, and nice toiletries in the shower. The sunset was incredible, and the peacefulness was pure calm. Surrounding properties had horses and other farm animals, as well as dogs who greeted us and played with our dogs. We will definitely stay here again when driving from Austin to Colorado.
We had a wonderful stay at the Super Chief boxcar. Our family stayed there on a Route 66/Grand Canyon roadtrip. We visited Palo Duro Canyon which was so close! We enjoyed watching a night time storm roll in front the patio. Then sunrise in the morning while enjoying coffee, scenery, and wildlife. Becky obviously cares for her guests comfort and it is seen through all the details. The property is clean, comfortable, and close to many places to visit. We would love to return and stay longer next time. Thank you for having us!
Wow!!! What a unique property and great location. Had great communication with Becky she even delivered a bottle of propane late in the evening for us.. Had the place cool for us when we arrived and even had dog bowls at the ready.. We will definitely stay here again the next time we come back to Amarillo. Thanks Becky!!
