"We stayed at Tolovana Inn over Labor Day weekend and overall had a nice stay. Check-in was easy, EV charging was a great bonus, and the beach access was super convenient. There are also shops, cafés, and a great little bakery nearby for morning coffee. Our room didn’t have an ocean view, but it was clean and comfortable for two people. The biggest downside was no AC, and the room got pretty hot. They provided a portable fan, but unfortunately it was very dusty. Other than that, no complaints. Great location and very convenient for a Cannon Beach getaway!"

"Steep Stairway. This trip we stayed in Haystack Suit (#3); in the past we have stayed in its sister suite #2 (also on the second floor of the building). We like them both largely because the provide beautiful, lively, and immediate surf-side and ocean viewing so long as there was daylight. In addition, both are excellent units: clean, well-equipped. Unfortunately, both units also require users to climb steep, narrow stairs (12 or 13 steps) to gain access. We were barely able to make the climb during this visit. Accordingly, we deliberately limited the number of times we left and returned to the unit during our stay. In future however, we simply will not rent either of these two wonderful units because we will not be able to climb the stairs."

"Such a cute hotel room stay at. Super close to the beach and loved the soaking tub in our room. When we go back to Cannon beach we will be rebooking!"

"5 stars for this wonderful home! We have been vacationing in CB on and off for about 20 years! We have stayed at a plethora of places trying to find the perfect accommodation. The Sand Castle is the one! The location is perfect…on the beach surrounded by wind swept trees with a view of the ocean and Ecola State Park and just a 3 minute walk into town! There are two designated parking spaces for the guests for easy access. Upon reaching the entrance to the second floor unit you cannot help but be in awe of the fabulous view of the beach/Pacific Ocean from the wraparound deck with a table and plenty of chairs. The unit is well appointed and furnished with a dining room table that seats 6! There is a smaller kitchen bistro table with 4 chairs as well. The living furniture is very comfortable. The beds are very comfortable! The bathroom has an overhead heat lamp for after shower warmth! There were plenty of neatly folded seemingly new white towels in a cabinet above the washer and dryer!Upon arrival this unit was very clean, with many kitchen accessories in excellent condition! I cannot recommend The Sand Castle enough! We will definitely be back! Thank you so much Arnold and Malia. We had a beautiful vacation in CB staying at your wonderful home!"

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family spent a week at the amazing Haystack Haven (2nd time/repeat renters) and loved it. The first time our family enjoyed Cannon Beach our kids were 10 and 12 and we made lots of sandcastles and ate lots of taffy. This trip to Hatstack Haven gave our family, kids now 21 and 23, their own space and a perfect landing spot for happy hours and cards on the deck, home cooked meals (even they shopped and cooked!), and comfortable beds for all. We love Haystack Haven, and while it’s nothing fancy it’s absolutely perfection and offers everything you need. Thanks for welcoming us back! We’ll see you again soon to kick off our Sandy flip flops, open the Willamette Pinot and enjoy another sunset over the Rock!"
