We also enjoyed the surrounding peacefulness and quietness of the location. We needed that rather than the business just a few miles to the north. We drove towards the downtown area of Cannon beach, about 2 miles, to eat out and noticed how quickly it felt crowded compared to where we were at Wayside Inn. There was also a nice store right across the street so we could have just eaten in our room if we wanted to. The whole area, both the busy and the quiet, seemed very polite and friendly. It was a great relaxing get away."
