Pros: The view. The staff were very good.
This room stated on the website that it could fit a family of 4/5 people, there was only 3 of us and we only just fitted. You had to close one door to open another it was that compact. The balcony screen was broken, which would have poised a problem if we had had a small child. The beds were the hard.

The hotel is essentially a self catering apartment, extra bedding is provided as well as a brush so that any room maintenance can be done yourselves. The room also came with a well equipped kitchen including a dishwasher. The hotel is actually owned by a well known holiday company, I am not sure if I can name it on this site so I will call it middle parks in the hope people can guess. The stay is exactly the same as one of these resorts, basic but clean. It should also be noted that the hotel gardens and pool were very well kept, the pool was cleaned twice a day and we saw a team of gardeners constantly ensuring the landscaped gardens are kept in check. Unfortunately there isn't a great deal to do in Cannes-la-bocca, restaraunts are limited but there are some ok take-aways. The train station is a 10min walk which can get you into Cannes central in 3min or Nice in 40. Overall I wasn't disappointed and we had a great stay.

Great apartment across the street from the beach

Pros: Walking distance to beach and local french market.
Location: short drive to La Croissette, walk to beach, three blocks to the local market. Great location!
Nice apartment with two pools. Kitchen was well appointed. Great one bedroom apartment .

Do not let the photos fool you...this place did not look anything like the nice photos. Very small, too many doors blocking the hallway, no wifi but you can pay for it...paid and had it work for about 10 minutes then it didn't work the rest of the trip. Doors were tough to close, had to slam them. Bring your own toilet paper as the room supplies one roll and if you ask for another they will say no. Will not stay here again and will not recommend to other travelers.

Good location, next to the beach. There is a train line beside the hotel but you tune it out after a while. Handy for travelling to Nice, Monaco etc. The pools are lovely. The staff are helpful. The rooms aren't cleaned, you have to clean them yourself. Nice restaurants around, but expensive. Would recommend going into Cannes- the local bus is €1.50 each- more choice there. Plenty of take aways nearby.Would definitely go back.

Pros: Close to beach and good sea view
Cons: Needs air con! The no shoe policy around the pool nees to be addressed can understand walking shoes but flip flops should be ok
Location: Good location about 20 min walk into Cannes centre
Nice pool area , no shoes allowed even flip flops! No air con , had a nice stay but I imagine it would be busy and noisy July and August !

Nice stay ruined by the reception unefficiency

We stayed nine nights, upon arrival the apartment was clean and had a nice view on the sea and the swimming pool.The first 6 nights were fine, even though the resort is a bit noisy and you can hear the people living on the flat upstairs and the ones coming back to the flat. We had a leak from the ceiling in the bathroom that we reported straight away and we had been told that someone would come in the afternoon but when we came back at night there was no sign someone came. On the next day we went back to the reception and asked to move flat while they repaired the leak as it was leaking more heavily. They did not accepted our request saying someone would come straight away.... one hour later. As the reception has limited opening hours, when we came back at night, we just noticed that someone came to the flat. Later that night, we found ourselves without electricity, probably due to the leak, from 1am till the moment we checked out at 9am. The receptionist was sorry, but when asked for a refund for the last night said that as we paid on hotels.com there was nothing she could do. We then asked for the phone number of the customer service and have been told that we could try but they are very difficult to get in touch with, as if to discourage us to call them.

Cannes La Verrerie

Over the years we have stayed here many times and we have always been happy but unfortunately there has been a decline,the place needs updating. Pierre Vacances is placed in a very nice position and reasonably priced. Some extremely loud guests were really annoying shooting and screaming.It has always been a m ore family place or couples but this time not so.I will stay with Pierre Vacances but possibly stay in one of their other properties and not La Verrerie.
