Just wow - So much to say about this property! My husband and I stayed for 2 weeks. The view overlooking the marina is GORGEOUS and worth it for breakfast on the balcony every morning! Playa Flamingo is a short 5-10 min walk away and that beach is one of the nicest in Costa Rica! When we arrived, Carlos greeted us and drove us to get groceries to stock up the fridge. He was so welcoming and so kind! Gustavo was also invaluable during our stay; always offering a recommendation or a friendly smile! The room itself was perfect. The bed was so comfy, the AC was a godsend and everything was clean and neat. Staying in the marina is super convenient! There are multiple restaurants to choose from as well as a plaza across the street for other dining options. We did not need to rent a car for being in this area. We rented a golf cart and that allowed us to explore Flamingo, Potrero and drive all the way to Brasilito (to park and walk to Playa Conchal). The area of Playa Flamingo is very quiet with little to no nightlife. We loved it for this aspect but understand it could be “too quiet” for others. Everything about Casa Chameleon was impeccable. The friendly staff, the complimentary daily breakfast and the clean rooms made the experience even more enjoyable. The property had immaculate views overlooking the ocean and the Catalinas town that is relatively new with condos shops and restaurants and a beautiful beach club. My next trip to Costa Rica, I I’ll be staying here. If you are looking for a relaxed, calm vacation vibe, Casa Chameleon is for you!

Beautiful and breathtaking property. A mix of jungle and beaches.

I LOVED staying here and if I come back to Costa Rica, this would be where I would want to stay. Johnny at the front desk was absolutely magic. Any problem that we had, he had a solution for. We needed some sea sick medication but our tour got back late and everything was closed. I messaged him at the front desk using WhatsApp around 11PM and he went out and found us some! Another night, it was a night tour and by the time we got back, all the restaurants were closed. We asked him what we should do and he called in a pizza for us while we were on the tour, set the pizza on warmers for us, and then delivered it right to our room. He is excellent and definitely made the experience for us! We actually were upset to be leaving to another city in CR, and all of my friends joked about wanting to take Johnny with us. The beach access with the complimentary sunset drinks were amazing. They had chairs with umbrellas (thank goodness!) so we were able to sit while the sun was blazing. And then, the attendee there brought us cold towels. Amazing! The free breakfast was also amazing with the free option of a prepacked one if your tour leaves early. Honestly, it was some of the best food we’ve had in Tamarinda (a lot of the restaurants in town were a bust :( ) Overall, I absolutely would stay again.
