Great little get away!
Enjoyed our weekend, so peaceful and the view! We had a clear night when we arrived and could sit on that back porch all night! The home is very clean and so well appointed, you will not want for anything. Love there were drip and k-cup coffee options. Went to Gap Deli just down the road and was so lovely and enjoyable. Great location and would definitely recommend and be a repeat! Nancy is great to work with!

Most Relaxing Stay in Our Lives
Nancy, our host, was the best. She answered all of our questions and made the visit most enjoyable. I don't want to say too many good things about this excellent property for fear that it may never be available again. (Smile) The view was exceptional over looking the valley towards Pilot Mountain with Mt. Airy (Mayberry) hiding in the green land scape in between during the day and glittering beautifully at night. The quiet, the wildlife, the stream, pond, and covered bridge down the hillside was a dream. The cabin was super cozy, stocked, and wired for entertainment, although we never felt the need to turn on the TV. Turned on the fireplace and let the stresses of life melt away. What neighbors? Those we noticed waved and smiled. Be very careful! We began to call it "Home" the first time we drove into town and every night when we would drag ourselves home from Martinsville Speedway. "Lets go Home!" and we weren't talking Florida. Thanks again Nancy!!

We Didn't Want to Leave
Everything was a brilliant experience from the rental process, thru checkout. Host was VERY accomodating and helpful in all aspects of our stay. Location is secluded, yet accessible to a town and activities. Right off Blue Ridge Parkway. Looking to stay longer next time!!

Home away from home
The Golden Nugget was so cozy and inviting. The gas logs were perfect and the kitchen well stocked. The beds were comfortable and I loved the roomy bathroom. The deck was great for warming in the sun and watching the wildlife.

Just as always, The Blue Ridge Nugget does not disappoint. This is the perfect spot for a relaxing stay. Enjoy the view, see the wildlife, and listen to the birds! Take a short drive down the road to the little waterfalls and a covered bridge. The whole experience is delightful. We will return again!

Perfect little getaway for the weekend to visit family! House is older but well taken care of, has the most perfect view! House was well stocked of everything you would need. We were visited every night with the deer and we made it down to see the wood covered bridge! Thanks Nancy for a great stay ❤️

Nice location
House was nice, a bit older and the house smelled when we entered but turning on the air helped clear that. The view is not what’s in the picture as there is a big cedar tree blocking some of the view of the city. The back porch was great, and that’s where we stayed in the evenings to watch the deer.

We usually stay in the north Georgia mountains, but this house, with it's great neighborhood, terrific view, and Fancy Gap surprise, was a great treat. Nancy was a great hostess. She adjusted our schedule for us a couple of times. Plus 7 deer, 1 turkey, 1000 birds!

Grandma's Cabin Rocks
Having both grown up in older farmhouses in the midwest we found ourselves to be quite at home in this seasoned and well-maintained retreat home. The view was exceptional and the amenities very accommodating, especially the gas fireplace on a rainy early spring evening. Leave your streaming/online desires at home and come to just take I the peace and views offered by this rental. We look forward to the chance to return.

Anniversary in the mountains

This was my wife's and my 2nd visit to this property. It is SO quiet and the view is amazing. The property is cozy and modest but it is a perfect place to unwind and relax. Wi-fi has been added since my last visit (there is no cell service with the carrier I use) but that only enhances the 'get away from it' atmosphere.

Very easy to find property with fantastic view of the lower elevations all the way to Mt Pilot. As many as 12 deer visit everyday! Mid to upper 60's temp every morning. Clean and comfortable stay. Will probably return soon!
