Located Atop The Mountain , This Cabin Has An Awesome View Of The Piedmont.

This property has two bedrooms with queen sized beds and one large bath. The living room has gas logs for cool days and AC for warm days. The sunroom rockers are a nice place to relax while viewing the sunrise or sunset. The deck is perfect for dining or just swinging and watching the day go by. There are daily visits by turkey and deer and BooBoo the bear visited in 2012. The living room has a TV along with both bedrooms. Wi-Fi is also provided. Kitchen has refrigerator with ice maker, stove, microwave and all the appliances you might need. Linens are furnished.

Most Relaxing Stay in Our Lives
Nancy, our host, was the best. She answered all of our questions and made the visit most enjoyable. I don't want to say too many good things about this excellent property for fear that it may never be available again. (Smile) The view was exceptional over looking the valley towards Pilot Mountain with Mt. Airy (Mayberry) hiding in the green land scape in between during the day and glittering beautifully at night. The quiet, the wildlife, the stream, pond, and covered bridge down the hillside was a dream. The cabin was super cozy, stocked, and wired for entertainment, although we never felt the need to turn on the TV. Turned on the fireplace and let the stresses of life melt away. What neighbors? Those we noticed waved and smiled. Be very careful! We began to call it "Home" the first time we drove into town and every night when we would drag ourselves home from Martinsville Speedway. "Lets go Home!" and we weren't talking Florida. Thanks again Nancy!!

Everything was a brilliant experience from the rental process, thru checkout. Host was VERY accomodating and helpful in all aspects of our stay. Location is secluded, yet accessible to a town and activities. Right off Blue Ridge Parkway. Looking to stay longer next time!!

The Golden Nugget was so cozy and inviting. The gas logs were perfect and the kitchen well stocked. The beds were comfortable and I loved the roomy bathroom. The deck was great for warming in the sun and watching the wildlife.
