Privately owned water view cottage with fabulous views of Penobscot Bay!

Are you looking for the quintessential Maine cottage with views of Penobscot Bay and steps away from the beach? Look no further, Overlook Cottage has two bedrooms and one full bath (newly updated 2023) with two full size beds and one queen bed and sleeps 4 adults or 2 adults with children comfortably. Enjoy views while grilling your catch of the day or dining inside the screened porch. Enjoy the Adirondack chairs on the deck or play an outdoor game on the massive green lawn out front. The cottage has a flat screen tv, Bose Sound-bar, internet for those working remote, screened in deck and full (newly renovated in 2023) kitchen. On those cool nights enjoy our newly installed vented contemporary fireplace while watching the waves outside. We are working to lower our environmental impact and have installed a reverse osmosis water system to avoid plastic water bottles and are using laundry sheets instead of wasteful plastic containers. Be sure to bring your own water bottle for your hikes and outdoor adventures. Enchanting downtown Belfast with its quaint shops and delicious restaurants is only 3 miles away. Guided water adventures, relaxation, golf, and local artists are all just minutes away!

This was the quintessential Maine cottage experience and I'm so sad we had to leave this morning! Cozy, clean, with all the modern amenities you need and thoughtful touches everywhere you look. Super soft towels and blankets, lovely soap/lotion, a plethora of books, functional TV (silly but this isn't always the case and we had two football games to watch!), beautiful coffee cups... We didn't get to sit on the porch much but the view was great and the beach was an easy walk. Loved this place so much!

We really enjoyed the views from the deck . The screened in porch is wonderful too. Just the perfect size for the two of us. Belfast is a lovely town and easy to drive around in. We are from a small town so we really appreciate the slower traffic.

Wonderful Week on the Bay

We found this cottage to be perfect for 2 couples to share. We had a clean, comfortable, conveniently- located “home base” as we explored charming coastal towns nearby. We enjoyed morning walks on the beach and evenings on the screened porch. We would love to stay here in the future.

Coastal Maine Perfection

We loved our stay at this property! It was so clean and comfortable and felt very homey! The view of Belfast Bay from the screened porch was the icing on the cake. We prepared a lot of our own meals, and the kitchen was well-equipped for our needs. The home was in the just-right location for our explorations of Midcoast and Down East Maine.

Great Belfast, Maine rental cottage

The cottage was perfect for our visit. Nicely decorated and ever so clean. The cottage has a great view of the water and it is an easy stroll to the beach. Also, located very close to the downtown area. Enjoyed walking by the harbor and exploring Belfast. The Friday outdoor market and the Saturday indoor market are not to be missed. Last, but not least was the prompt response of the owner for any questions. Would definitely stay there again.

Great time in Belfast !

First trip to Maine (visiting from Atlanta). Home was as described, clean and modern and had everything we needed. Quick walk right down to the beach where the kids could walk every night, swim, look for crabs, seals, etc. About a 8 min drive to downtown Belfast, and 90 min ride to Acadia national park. Definitely was relaxing and had everything we needed. Would highly recommend!

Lovely stay

Everything was as advertised. Well appointed- clean and with a beautiful view and porch. We enjoyed our stay very much. Only thing I would recommend is bigger fans for each bed room. There is no air conditioning in bedrooms when doors are closed but is fine with windows open and a good fan.

Beautiful property, beautiful view!!!

This is a lovely little cottage which sits at the top of a slope on a beautiful bay. The only issue we had was a short lived loss of water pressure due to a water main break up the street. The owner was quick to find out where the issue was and let us know the city was working to have it restored. They had it repaired within an hour or so & we were back in business!! The cottage was very welcoming and provided us with all the comfort we needed during our stay. I would highly recommend this owner & this cottage for anyone visiting this area!!

Overlook Cottage is quaint & cozy, but very modernized. Loved the filtered water option for sustainability and use of our water bottles. Favorite for our family: utilizing the screened in porch & deck and waking up to each morning to a gorgeous centered view of Penobscot Bay, meandering the rocky shore, or ending the night with a view of a million stars. Pamela & family provide many staple amenities and easy access to a local farmers coop or grocery store in Belfast. Our local contact, Donna, was wonderful and efficient to help with a small tech issue. We hope to return to Overlook Cottage time and time again. Great base camp for all adventures in any direction! Thank you for sharing this lovely cottage for our summer family holiday!
