Disappointed that we had to pay for parking. Disappointed that there were no herbal tea bag’s in the room.
Disappointed that our room key wouldn’t let us back in after breakfast.
Disappointed that we heard every movement and every word from the room next door.
Convenient hotel for a night stop. Next to trainline so be aware of that. Friendly staff. Quiet comfy rooms. Object to paying for parking, even with discounted rate. Great old pub next door for food.
Convenient to the imperial war museum and right next to the train station for easy access to Cambridge. The hotel is modern, clean and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Nice bar, excellent breakfast and good food available at the bar. There aren't any restaurants close by so the available food offerings at the bar were very appreciated. My room was huge and comfortable and even thought it's right next to the train station you can't hear a thing. Would stay again!
We had a nice stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable and linen good quality. We were disappointed as the pub cross the road from the hotel shut on a Sunday at 6 pm so we had to eat at the hotel. Downside was the selection was limited. But the food we ordered was good. Was not amused at having to pay 7.50 to park our vehicle in the car park. After all we were guests in the hotel and I believe there should not be a charge for parking ☹️
We got a great price booking through Hotels.com, the staff were very friendly, the room was clean, tge bed comfy. Tge free brekkie was perfectly adequate with many choices. Really enjoyed our stay & would stay again.
It was a positive experience overall. The staff were competent and friendly. The hotel was clean and generally comfortable. But the bed was too soft for my taste, and I didn't find it comfortable.

Disappointed having to pay 7,50£ for parking, the room was booked last minute, they gave us an accessible room, so the shower was not really comfortable, the hotel overall didn't seem very clean and there was a strange stink at the entrance and in the room.
Breakfast is very basic not a huge selection. Not good value for money, just chosed because half way between Cambridge and Stansted.
Property ideal location for our trip, staff very friendly and helpful. The only downside was the post code, took you to the wrong side of the railway station!

Beware - unexpected charge for car parking of £7.50 per night. I am a blue badge holder and parked in a disabled bay but still had to pay, the only place I have ever encountered that charges for disabled. It was particularly annoying and disappointing being totally unexpected, if it is mentioned on Holiday Inn website it is well hidden, could that be deliberate?
Room and food were as expected and fine but this has left such a sour taste that I will not use Holiday Inn again.

We were on the second floor and from our room you could hear what sounded like aater dripping on something. It never stopped so didnt sleep for 2 nights

I'm sorry to hear about your experience. It must have been quite frustrating not being able to sleep for two nights due to the continuous sound of water dripping. If you mentioned this to the front desk I apologise if this wasn't resolved whilst you were here. I have passed this onto maintenance to have a look at. A peaceful and restful environment is important for a good night's sleep during your stay.
Decent hotel. Comfy room, A/C, modern facilties. Only criticisms were the £7.50 fee to park in the hotel carpark & that the Hotels.com room rate wsd £20 more than available at reception
