Lovely apartments
Really friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were a good size and was provided with everything needed. A little noisy through the night from the air con units in other rooms but overall a really good stay

I booked two nights stay there so that my son and of course myself get a good night sleep before his Cambridge interview but we had two bad nights and couldn't sleep well at all due to extremely poor floor insulation. One inconsiderate guest was staying above my room (my room was The Park) and due to some reason his/her day started at midnight and he/she continued marching on the room up until at least 1am or more. it was a nightmare for us and it was first night stay in the hotel. We can feel that the person is walking on our floor and it was so loud and thumping noise that even a deep sleeper will wake up and feel difficult to sleep Same repeated next night, the guest started marching on his/her room from about 5am and continued until 7am or so, that spoiled our second night although it wasnt that important for us. So, if you want to stay there for a good night sleep then I would recommend to stay on the 3rd floor (top floor i think) to avoid such floor insulation related inconvenience Other than that the hotel is good, location is great, staff is very helpful, breakfast is good although it's just cornflakes, croissant and coffee etc. Yoghurt and fruit was also there. It was generous and no complaint on that. I would ask hotel to improve the sound insulation otherwise you would feel somebody is walking on your chest In terms of coming back I may not.

A jackpot find
Fantastic welcome, amazing location. Parking (Anne Street Carpark) was also very easy. Room was spacious and very modern - loved the large tv (which access to apps) and kitchenette was perfect. Can’t speak highly enough of this great hotel… I will be back.

I chose this hotel as it was within walking distance of Trinity College where I was to attend a concert, and on the bus route to and from the station. The room was small but tastefully decorated, with a fridge, kettle and coffee maker. The bathroom was spotlessly clean with a heated towel rail and lovely walk-in shower, which unfortunately sprayed water onto the floor and there was nowhere to put toiletries. There was no storage, just 5 coathangers on a rail and nowhere to put a suitcase. The luggage storage consisted of an insecure area behind reception. There was no receptionist available when I arrived and after a wait and several phone calls I had to rely on another member of staff to check me in, although I has prearranged my check-in time 2 days earlier. In fact there are no receptionists available before 11.30am and they go off duty at 8pm. From then until 11pm, when the night watchman arrives, there are no members of staff available at all. All in all a bit of a disappointment and not what one would expect from a 3 star establishment, especially an over-priced one like this. The one redeeming feature was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff.

Room was much smaller than pictures suggested and faced onto a noisy Regent St. Worst part was that the room was dirty and dusty. There had clearly been an historic leak leaving a nasty stain on the ceiling, so the room feel grubby. The bed and bedding were uncomfortable so did not a good nights sleep. Staff in the morning were rude

Just perfect!
We enjoyed our stay at The Regent immensely! Very friendly staff, great room with a huge TV where we could enjoy a few episodes of our favorite NETFLIX show after enjoying the city of Cambridge for hours on end. The regent's perfect location smack in the middle of Cambridge City center was perfect, with all the things we wanted to see only a short walk from the hotel. The breakfast, even if it was a simple continental one, was stocked with fruit, yoghurt, cereals, bread, butter and jam. Basically, all we needed to start our second day of enjoying Cambridge. We had a great time!

The gluten free options at breakfast were very good. The night porter was very helpful, and the hotel was extremely clean and tidy. The location is fantastic, right in the centre of the city and overlooking the park.

AMAZING but slightly loud
The City room was lovely and spacious, the bathroom is out new house inspiration! The only thing I will note is the walls are thin, I’m not sure if we were unlucky having big foot in the room above but from 6:30-10am we were awoken a lot by stomping and what sounded like furniture being moved, that was the only dampener as it meant we were very tired for the next day of our weekend away. The big perk was we could not hear any street noise however

Very clean and really lovely staff! The air con didn’t work, but it’s usually not needed in Cambridge. Wouldn’t recommend the breakfast, it’s just continental, not really worth the money. The rooms were very nice with good view of the park in back. It’s a bit noisy, you can hear a lot. Overall it’s a great simple place to stay.

A six night stay at The Regent - turned up at 12.30 am after a night out and was locked out. No-one was answering the telephone. It took 1.5 hours to finally reach someone who was at home . . . After they watched CCTV footage and confirmed we were indeed locked out a refund of one night was offered. Unfortunately they have not bothered to respond to Hotels.com regarding the refund Hotels.com has closed the case. Would not recommend The Regent to anyone.

Lovely room, fantastic bathroom with walk in shower. Sink and microwave in room with crockery, cutlery, toaster, coffee machine etc. Everything was pristine. Sophie on reception was extremely helpful and is a real asset to the hotel.

Well equipped, spacious room on the park side of the building. All staff I met were friendly and helpful. Kitchenette really useful and room well equipped. Downsides - stayed at the weekend and there was noise outside throughout the night. Could also hear people upstairs walking about etc.
