The apartment was great, the super-king-sized bed was very comfortable with lovely cotton sheets, and there was a great shower. Staff were very friendly and the apartment block is a short walk from the pub, so it is private and quiet. Rooms were very nice and well spaced out so ordered food elsewhere. From arrival at this charming village pub, the staff (and locals) were friendly and helpful, happy to give local info (restaurants, buses etc). We were shown our room which was one of 4 terraced bungalows, purpose built at the bottom of the pub garden so away from the pub, secluded with shrubbery and hedge and quiet. Perfectly adequately sized for 2 people, furniture of good quality. A lovely comfy super king size bed with crisp cotton linen. A wet room which was well with shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. Underfloor heating and heated towel rail ensured this was toasty warm - in fact we turned them off in the end. Tea/coffee tray well stocked and we loved the tiny individual glass bottles of milk, so much nicer than those little single use plastic milk pots. The stars of the show though really are the pub staff - all so friendly and helpful. We would recommend eating in the pub, good value, hot food, would also recommend Indian Ocean restaurant opposite. Breakfast is not available at the pub but there is a little coffee shop opposite and a Tesco express so not an issue for us. Buses into Cambridge every 40 minutes from opposite side of the road.
