The bed was particularly uncomfortable and the duvet just about covered it. Furnishings were dark and a bit shabby. Bathroom is nicely fitted out but water pressure very temperamental. We did receive a warm welcome and the cooked breakfast was good but not much choice. So close to Duxford IWM and so peaceful and quaint. The welcome could not have been friendlier. The pub was busy with regulars and visitors alike and the food was so good my husband said it was probably the best steak meal he'd ever had - and he's been around a while! (Can't remember what it was called, but it was strips of fillet steak on a green salad). The welcome and food was excellent. Sausage at breakfast was particularly nice. We had not stayed there since before the pandemic, nevertheless we were recognised and made welcome. A nice clean room was provided and a spacious bathroom. A delicious freshly cooked breakfast was provided in the morning. The room was rather small but comfortable and was fine for a couple of nights. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pub was lovely with a good range of beers and good food.
