Second time staying here. Everything great as before. Francesca & Stefano welcome you like family. Nothing too much trouble. Lovely, filling breakfast; warm, comfortable room. Will visit again!

The property is in a nice setting, and conveniently located. However, there is no on-site restaurant/bar/pub for meals and drinks; the dining room was for breakfasts only during our visit.

Good evening, thank you very much for taking time to write a review. I just wanted to point out, though, that we do have a bar. In the guest information book in the room there is also our wine list, like there is one in the guest lounge. Maybe, because you just stayed overnight, you didn’t have the time to inform yourself. Regarding the restaurant, we serve dinners 4 times a week, but only on a pre booking basis. I hope this helps. Kind regards, Francesca

It really is a beautiful place to stay and you get a nice welcome when you arrive. The rooms are really nice and ours had lovely views of the garden. The breakfast in morning was really nice and the service was first class. Due to the age of the building you do get some noise from other rooms but not enough to spoil your stay. Overall I really enjoyed my stay here and will definitely return in the future

A relaxing and welcoming stay
What a wonderful stay. One of the reasons we chose Lubnaig was because of the impeccable reviews and we can't agree further. From the moment we booked, we had good communication from Stefano and Francesca. We were also lucky to stay on one of the nights they cook dinner so we also booked in for that. The guesthouse is just on the edge of Callander within easy reach of different walking trails in and around, as well as the high street. Plenty of on site parking too. We were greeted by Stefano and warmly welcomed into the house. Our room on the ground floor, Virginia, was incredibly comfy and clean. It had everything we needed as well as a view across the garden. Plenty of hot water, good shower etc. Extra thought given to guests who may feel cold with a heater provided although we thought the house was plenty warm enough. On top of that, it was incredibly quiet and peaceful. Breakfast choices were made at night and that meant it was all prompt in the morning. Both ladies who greeted us were incredibly friendly. Breakfast set us up really well for walking, was plentiful and freshly cooked. Our dinner with Stefano and Francesca also exceeded all expectations. An Italian feast that we would eat over and over again. On the night they weren't cooking, they made a great recommendation for a restaurant a short walk away in Callander. We cannot recommend Lubnaig enough and have already suggested it to family. Thank you!

A pleasant guest house in a quiet location just back from the street. All spotlessly clean and everything in good condition. There is a guest room were we talked to some delightful people and a large garden with comfortable seats. We expect to return another year. Very pleasant helpful owners.

The building was good the room was a bit less than I expected, given the high ratings the property had. In fairness we were late booking so we may have gotten the leftovers but at the price it seemed a bit underwhelming

Perfect family stay
What a fantastic guest house. Wonderfully accommodating hosts and their lovely children who played so well with ours. The coach house was impeccably clean and breakfast was delicious. I would happily recommend Lubnaig Guest House to anyone.

Highly recommended
This was a wonderful place to spend a few days. The room was fantastic and the owners, Stefano and Francesca, were super friendly and welcoming. On two evenings we had dinner in the restaurant, which i would highly recommend. On our third evening, they weren't serving dinner but were happy for us to bring back our takeaway to eat in the dining room (this was when covid restrictions meant that restaurants were all closed in the evening ). I would highly recommend and will certainly go back there again.

Lovely Guest House. Lovely spacious garden. Spotlessly clean. Lovely food. We had dinner there as well as breakfast and the food was delicious. 1st class restaurant quality. Our hosts, Francesca and Stefano were very friendly and welcoming treating us like guests in their own home. The location is perfect for exploring the surrounding area, The Trossachs and the lochs such as Loch Lubnaig, Loch Earn and Loch Lomond. We will definitely be back to stay at Lubnaig Guest House! The guest house and owners were amazing, did everything they could do to help us. Problem we had was with Hotels.com, who did not inform us that the guest house was meant to be closed for two of our five night stay.

An individual, yet comfortable, Guest House.
A beautiful, well-situated Guest House. The décor was impeccable- a mixture of traditional English and modern, which worked well. The B&B has beautiful grounds, which can be enjoyed even in the winter. Breakfast was very good - local ingredients and well presented tables. Our room was very attractive, with a bow window overlooking the garden. The owners welcomed us and gave us useful information about Callander - places to eat, and activities. Francesca and Stefan were attentive, but also respectful of our privacy. We would certainly use this B & B again, should we return to the area.

Stayed in the coach house which has 2 bathrooms and individual rooms. Was ideal for our 5 day stay to see the solheim cup. The owners are very accommodating and eager to please cooking an evening meal for guest which was up to restaurant standard. Hospitality was excellent and would highly recommend this guest house.

The children of the owners were absolutely delightful. The accommodations are small and tight but we don't spend time in our room so it was adequate for our needs. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was good and plentiful. The grounds are gorgeous. The location was perfect for a walk into the city.
