The Atlas Calistoga - Cottage #1
Summary: Make this sophisticated wine country cottage your personal Napa Valley hideaway. One of three luxury one-bedrooms on the historic Atlas Estate, the cottage blends a modern aesthetic with Zen-like tranquility and historic charm. This well-appointed property offers every comfort – from a fully stocked kitchenette to a cozy fireplace, and a sun-dappled outdoor seating area. Located in the heart of Calistoga, fine dining, shopping, spas and world-class wineries are at your doorstep!
The Space: Newly renovated, The Atlas is home to a picturesque 1890 Queen Anne Victorian home and three luxury cottages. Each cottage is rented out separately, so you may have an opportunity to connect with other guests on your stay, or you can retreat to the privacy of your own space. All three cottages can also be rented together for a getaway with friends and family.
Each cottage has access to its own outdoor space, where you might linger over a bottle of Cabernet and a cheese board. In the morning, pour yourself a Nespresso coffee and step out onto the exquisitely landscaped grounds to take in the crisp Calistoga air. Use the complementary cruiser bicycles to explore downtown Calistoga, and come home from a day of wine tasting and spend a lingering evening in front of the fireplace. Make this a place to slow down and savor.
Features:
- Custom designer touches and furnishings throughout - Fully stocked kitchenette with mini-fridge, microwave, toaster oven and sink. We provide dishes, silverware, glasses/mugs/wine glasses, as well as Nespresso coffee, french press and grounds, sparkling water, and electric kettle and assortment of teas. **please note the kitchenette does not have a stove** - Dedicated parking space - Complementary cruiser bicycles available - Complementary Level 2 EV charger on property - Fireplace - Flat-screen television with YouTube TV cable package
The Neighborhood: People often say life moves at a different pace in Calistoga. This northernmost wine region of the Napa Valley exudes a rustic farm town charm that invites you to slow down. This is the kind of place where you’ll find regulars chatting the morning away on Adirondack chairs outside the town’s main coffee shop. Yet, you’ll also find elevated dining experiences, luxury spas, tasting rooms and, of course, some of the best Cabernet Sauvignon estates in the country. The Atlas is located in the heart of Calistoga, walking distance (just 4 short blocks) to the center of town.
For the outdoor enthusiast, this is the perfect place to immerse yourself in nature. Take advantage of nearby hikes or a stroll through town and admire the pine covered Vaca and Mayacama mountains rising in the background. Take a wine tasting bike tour and earn your Cabernet! Follow it all up with a detox in geothermal fed mineral spring pools or a volcanic ash mud bath.
Other Things to Note: - The Atlas consists of three luxury one-bedroom cottages and a main house. Though each cottage affords plenty of privacy, there may be guests booked in other cottages during your stay.
- The cottage will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized prior to your arrival.
- There are four complementary cruiser bicycles on the property available for use during your stay.
- There is one Level 2 electric vehicle charger located on the property for your complimentary use during your stay. If you have a Tesla please remember to bring your adapter with you. Please be considerate of other guests with electric vehicles and only use the charger as necessary - thank you!

Very nice, clean and modern, in a quiet residential neighborhood and not too far from the main street attractions- restaurants, day spas and cafes. Dog-friendly.
This was by far the best VRBO experience we’ve ever had. Cottage was impeccable down to every detail. Location in Calistoga was perfect, and the housekeeper Nora attentively checked on us often. We highly recommend The Atlas and will be returning in the future.
Everything was so easy to use and organized. D.J. was a great help. The cottage was gorgeous and in a very convenient part of town. We walked everywhere. Highly recommend.

The room design, quality and the location were great.
Property was excellent with nice and useful toyches which were appreciated. I took one star becausecthe tv did not have FOX, FOX News or sports such as ESPN ... coukdn't watch world series ... would think all major channels would be available.
We spent 3 days at this newly-renovated cottage near downtown Calistoga. Our party included myself, my husband, and our Cavalier King Charles, Daisy.
The cottage is one of three at a beautifully-landscaped estate that also includes a main house. The compound is arranged around a small courtyard, and has a peaceful, serene atmosphere that leads to a sense of refuge and comfort. Though the unit is small, it is extremely well-provisioned and pleasant. As my husband said, “it has everything you need and nothing you don’t.” This leads to a clean, tidy, yet luxurious atmosphere. Our unit also had a fenced backyard with deck.
Thoughtful details abound: a Kuerig coffee maker, milk steamer, Cuisinart toaster oven, microwave, all needed utensils, and even a supply of aluminum foil and plastic wrap. If you are a fan of luxurious sheets, you will love the “Comphy” linens. And they even offer special supplies for the dog: soft sleeping blanket, towel, and bowls for food and water. There’s a nearby dog park, and Daisy loved walking and exploring the streets with us.
The location is also outstanding, if you like small-town peaceful neighborhoods. It is any easy quarter-mile walk to the Cal-Mart and downtown, with many excellent shops, cafe’s, restaurants, and wine-tasting bars. It’s also a short drive to a number of beautiful hikes in the parks of nearby hills.
Management was extremely friendly and available, though nothing broke down, so we had no need to contact them beyond greetings and regretful goodbyes. We will definitely be repeat renters at this property!
Nestled in a quiet street in Calistoga, the cottage is a short walk to the Main Street with coffee shops, restaurants and cute boutiques to pop into.
The cottage itself was beautiful designed with Restoration Hardware furniture and all the creature comforts that one could expect: coffee maker, small fridge, and a lovely patio area to have a glass of wine or enjoy a morning cup of joe.
DJ was a responsive host and gave very detailed info for check-in. By far a wonderful experience and value for the money. If I could give anyone advice, skip the astronomical hotel prices and stay here, it was 5 stars!
We loved the Atlas. Well done design, grounds and interior. Tasteful decor, great walking distance to park and town. We’d stay again and our dog was welcome too in cottage #1.
If it was possible I would give this place 10 stars. The three cottages are absolutely charming, relaxing, super clean, and comfortable. We look forward to returning again next year. It’s by far better than any hotel in Napa. Book it now! You won’t regret it.
