Private Heated Pool. Magnificent Ocean view. Quiet. Garden. AC This CHARMING Villa commands an enviable location with stunning views over the Ocean. Traditional features combine with contemporary facilities, to offer luxury spacious accommodation. From a Palm Tree shaded entrance to Balconies for each room, the property exudes space to relax, breathe and to enjoy the serenity of this peaceful village. The Infinity Pool is the prime feature of the Villa, measuring a generous 7 metres by 4 metres, with depth from 1.2 metres to 1.5 metres. Heated all year. The Villa faces south, guaranteeing sun on the Pool from 10am until Sunset. Likewise, all rooms within the property enjoy the same South facing elevation and magnificent Ocean views. OPEN PLAN living areas are light and airy, and the Kitchen is fully fitted with all appliances including an Espresso machine and a generous variety of kitchen utensils. Space to relax is provided by two Sofas in the Lounge, 50" TV and DVD player. Internet speed of Mpbs 500/100\. And the large Dining Table offers space to relax and enjoy the family meals. UPSTAIRS three bedrooms offer comfort for up to 6 people. With an additional fourth double bedroom in the Attic Suite\*. Custom made beds to our personal design, fitted with quality mattresses and Hotel style linens and Towels, guarantee a comfortable night's sleep. The bedrooms further benefit from large fitted wardrobes so that you may enjoy your holiday clutter free. The latest Air conditioning systems offer Heat or Cooling to suit the season, using Eco Air Heat Pump technology. The USB ports next to each bed allow convenience for everybody's gadgets. The Master bedroom offers an en suite with spacious power shower and opening window. The Family bathroom offers another spacious power shower and opening windows. The bathrooms are complimented by an additional outside Ground floor bathroom with Toilet, Shower and wash basin. Hot Water is provided by an Eco Tank, again using the latest Air Heat Pump technology. Most electric is provided by the Islands Wind farms located on the plateau. \* The Attic Suite is offered for groups of more than 6 people, at the advertised additional tariff. It is accessed by the traditional second floor doorway, from outside the building. The Suite has restricted head height but is very popular with larger family groups, for Teenagers, young couples, or a Grand parent wanting a quiet retreat from the children. Containing a standard double bed, Window seat with Sea view and an en suite Shower room. Also it's own Terrace with views over the hillside and forest to the rear. The POOL TERRACE and Gardens will be a delight for our Guests, and offer substantial additional facilities to enjoy. A large Granite table is provided for Al fresco dining, and a BBQ adjacent. Multi functional chairs that can be moved around as required. Sunbeds are provided for Guests to enjoy the sub Tropical climate, with generous sunshine and year round average daytime temperatures of 20c - 35c. When a Guest wishes to retreat from the Heat, the fitted shutters allow traditional control of sun, heat and airflow. Or the rear Courtyard under mature Palm Trees, allows a cooler retreat in the summer. GARDEN. The Pool Terrace also has a shady Pergoda overlooking the lawn and gardens below. Short staircases lead down to these additional spaces. The large lawn area provides the option for Croquet To the rear of the property adjacent to the road is a Wine Cellar, with generous washing and laundry area. Parking is provided two cars. One behind an electronic gate. The other off the road to one side, in front of the Garage. Gates and Walls surround the property offering peace of mind that children cannot wander accidentally into the road. CALHETA is the prime Tourist area of Madeira and is on the less developed, Western side of the island. It consists of a cluster of villages. Located on the quieter side, Faja da Ovelha offers a peaceful location, but with convenient access 5 minutes away to join the recently extended Via Rapide. From here it is convenient to start a days exploration of the island, or just to enjoy local attractions. eg 5 minutes by car to the nearest quality Restaurants at Ponta do Pargo OR 12/15 minutes to Calheta Marina, with its Beach, Restaurants and Water activities. Die Bäder wurden nur durch die Klimaanlage und Heizung richtig trocken, was aber mit ein bisschen Aufmerksamkeit gut machbar war. Außer dem sehr warmen Pool (ca. 30°), einer Infrarotkabine, den modernen Nassräumen und den ausgezeichneten Betten ist diese Villa äußerst lieblos gestaltet. Leider sind Unmengen an unappetitlichen Tausendfüßlern ganztägig am und im Haus anzutreffen. Die Holzmöbel auf der eher ungemütlichen Terrasse bestehen aus 4 wackeligen, zum Teil defekten Sesseln, aber ohne dazugehörendem Tisch. Es gibt außen keinen einzigen sonnen-oder regengeschützten Ess-Sitzplatz), nur 2 Sonnenschirme! Es wird überhaupt kein deutschsprachiges Fernsehprogramm (außer Netflix) angeboten und in der Küche fehlen so Notwendigkeiten wie z.B. ein Handmixer oder ein Nudelsieb. Es war weder eine Flasche Wasser noch irgend ein anderes Lebensmittel (z.B. Gewürze) beim Einzug vorhanden, was in dieser Preiskategorie eigentlich nicht zu erwarten war. Auch die Sitzmöbel beim Esstisch innen wackelten fast alle und bei der zwar sehr gemütlichen Wohnraum-Sitzgarnitur gibt es leider keinen Couchtisch. Dass uns niemand, weder bei der Ankunft, bei der das "Garagentor" zur viel zu knappen Abstellfläche schon Probleme machte, noch bei der Abfahrt persönlich begrüßt hat, passt leider zum Gesamtbild des Hauses. Wir waren daher ziemlich enttäuscht und würden sicher nicht noch einmal kommen. ##### Maria G. Das Haus ist so, wie es auf den Bildern zu sehen ist. Der Pool ist beheizt und somit auch super für kleine Kinder. Die Umgebung ist ruhig und die Aussicht auf den Atlantik lässt einen jeden Tag staunen. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war stets freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es empfiehlt sich in jedem Fall ein Auto für den Aufenthalt zu mieten. Es gibt nur eine Sache die praktisch wäre, wenn wir sie im Haus gehabt hätten. Einen Wäscheständer für die Handtücher nach dem Baden. Wir möchten uns für die Zeit dort bedanken und haben das Haus bereits weiterempfohlen. ##### Romano B. A lovely, comfortable villa with everything you need to relax and have a chilled time in the sunshine. A breath-taking view over the sea with sunsets and all-day sunshine. The pool is always warm and a pleasure to use. The sauna and attic rooms were off limits to us as we were only a group of 2 but the parts of the villa we used were excellent, clean and very comfortable. Getting shade around the pool could be tricky but there was a single sun umbrella with a strong base which could be moved around. To get a shop with a reasonable selection of goods, you need to drive to one of the nearby towns (10-15 minutes) but for beers and a small selection of items there is a cash-only shop a short walk downhill. Bill, the host, was friendly and accommodating and prompt to reply to emails. Really enjoyed our stay. A car is essential if staying here to get to the provisions you'll need. Die Villa liegt in einer sehr ruhigen Gegend ca. 45min per Auto von Funchal. Ein Mietwagen ist meiner Meinung nach zu empfehlen. Die Villa ist sehr sauber und wird bei einem Aufenthalt ab 2 Wochen nach einer Woche geputzt/ Wechseln der Bettwäsche. Die Aussicht von der Terrasse ist ht randios. Das Wasser im Pool ist im Winter schön warm Alles in allem ist die Villa absolut zu empfehlen. ##### Marc A. Ein wenig abseits und ein Mietauto ist zwingend notwendig. Dafür gerade als Familie mit Kindern super viel Platz, die Kinder flitzeten überall herum und hatten auf dem Gelände viel Spaß! A break from work and a rest before Xmas. It is so quiet, its marvellous. We just relaxed big time. Sunbathing in December, how cool is that ! Big heated pool. We spent so much time just gazing at the view in front of us, it was great. You can often see Falcons flying overhead. Not far to go for restaurants, or sometimes we just ate in and had a lazy evening watching the sunset. We stayed as a Couple. There was plenty of space in the Villa, but we didn’t feel dwarfed by it. We were a group of six. Weren't sure about the bunk beds in the second bedroom. But we need have no fears. They were massively strong and heavy, and no problem for the adults in our group. Kids will be spoilt. The nearest Levada was only a few minutes drive away. There are taxi companies available if you want to be picked up in the middle of nowhere. We also did the Levada walks on the top of the island which is what we came for. The most magnificent views, with a sea view all the time. Then back to the Villa late afternoon to relax in the Pool. Dreamy views over the ocean to the horizon. Gorgeous. We mainly used the Restaurants in Ponta do Pargo which are only a short hop along the Via Rapide. The Villa was very comfortable with spacious showers which was good. All in all, very happy with our stay. The Owner has a Cottage next door which is almost finished. As we usually travel as a group of a dozen people or more, we will rent both in the future. We are already scheduling more visits for the Club next year. William secretary PZR Club ##### William G.
