Liked it so much we rearranged our itinerary to come back for another night. Super quiet & scenic. Really enjoyed the pool, deck, restaurant, and seeing birds, monkeys and iguanas. Arrived too late for pizza the first night, but stayed to have it for lunch and it truly was delicious. However, learned later that Costa Rica’s ban on feeding wildlife extends to private property and bird feeders, so it would better not to feed the birds at all, or at least farther from the deck so macaws don’t swoop in for human breakfast food. On the Beach , Private Tropical Paradise ,Tivives Playa 8/10 Good "The headline doesn't lie--it's definitely a million-dollar view! Whatever the time of day, looking out towards the ocean was spectacular. The sunsets were incredible, and the waves were spectacular to watch. It provided the peace and relaxation we were hoping for! A couple of pointers for first-timers to the property:1\. In order to have such a beautiful view in an unpopulated area, the location is remote. Make sure to do as much shopping for food, etc., as you can while on your way out. It takes too much time away from the trip if you don't, because traffic moves SLOWLY. 2\. Hoyt is very responsive. Don't hesitate to reach out to him if there are any issues.3\. Don't bother bringing too many clothes. You'll wear swimsuits most of the time.4\. If you like ice cream, get your hands on some ChaRo brand ice cream (it's a Costa Rican brand) as soon as you can. We didn't discover it until late into the trip and we were sorry we didn't have more days to enjoy it. The house staff, Carlos, Gina and Tatiana, were so welcoming and friendly throughout our time there. Their home-cooked meals were delicious, and they were very mindful of food allergies. The home was very clean and spacious along with multiple balconies for enjoying the sunsets. Our two families were so grateful we chose this location where we really felt like home. Communication prior to and during our trip was also fantastic, and assistance with coordinating transportation, excursions, and meals helped make our trip feel so carefree and relaxed.
