Isla Hayahay is an amazing hotel is a secret spot in Bohol. It is away from everything but the resort has everything you need. The food is great with so much choice that you look forward to trying from the range of dishes. The bar is well stocked and open 24hours a day. We spent three nights at the resort at the end of our two week philappines trip and it was well worth it. Three days of relaxing by the pool and unwinding. They do have diving and day trips offered on site. But actually relaxing by the pool overlooking the sea was exactly what we needed. All the staff are great and there when you need. The location is about an hour drive from Bohol airport and 20 minute from the ferry port. The family suite consists of two rooms and a bathroom with seating area on a balcony. Was on the fence because it was a little tucked away, but we ended up loving that the most. We were able to rent a scooter and drive all around as well, and after driving down to Panglao to catch the sunset, we were happy with our decision on the place. It is far away from the big crowds therefore it is very tranquil and a great place to relax. The staff is absolutely lovely and helpful, the room was very clean and the pool was very clear and get cleaned every day. I enjoyed my dinner on the deck where there was a slight sea breeze and the view over the sea was just amazing. They have a big menu and the meals were just fantastic. Beach with crystal clear water, magnificently designed pool, gourmet kitchen restaurant and ample shaded areas with hammocks and benches. A 200 peso ($4 US) ride into the picturesque town of Calape or a 300 peso ($6 US) ride to the much larger city center of Tubigon. There is a pool side well stocked bar as well as tea and coffee available 24/7\. I cannot imagine a more perfect spot. This place is amazing if you’re looking for a quiet chill location. You can rent a motorbike from the hotel to explore sections of the island. The AC isn’t very cold and that’s my only complaint, but there is a fan and we survived. Food is delicious and reasonably priced. Pool is great, our daughter had a blast in it. I had no experience in Phillipines like as a delicous dinner in Vietnam.
