The hotel is really well located for the local beaches, shops and restaurants. Staff are all helpful (the activity organiser works especially hard) and the property is kept in good condition and clean. The pools are also great for young children. The only negative is as other guests have said, there is no sound proofing in the rooms and so you can easily hear your noisy neighbours, the bins being collected or the evening entertainment (wherever your room may be), although the entertainment does stop reasonably early. Definitely the best hotel we have stayed in Cala D’Or and so would recommend

Good hotel and excellent food choice. Great location and hotel surroundings well kept. Far too crowded around the pool and no chance of a sunbed with people reserving with towels which is a shame. Overall we had a great stay - thank you!

A great property, located right next to Cala Gran (3 minute walking distance! Our room was spacious and clean, and it even came with kitchen utensils if needed. The property is huge and is beautifully maintained. We loved how close it was to the downtown area with many food options, and how it was even closer to the water. The staff was also wonderful and generous. They welcomed us and made us feel comfortable, and assisted us with our many needs!

Fabulous for a family holiday.
Fabulous hotel for families. Rooms spacious, very clean(daily maid Service) and comfortable. Staff throughout Hotel were all lovely and great kids club. Good pools and several toddler pools and only 2mins from the beach.

Excellent location
A large hotel in an excellent location - ideal for beaches, restaurants and bars. Unfortunately the hotel was full of very young and noisy children. Sun beds were reserved from early in the morning, although supposedly not allowed to, so no descent places to sit with an umbrella. Entertainment was diabolical.

Hotel continues to maintain its high standards. Clean well appointed rooms, manicured gardens, friendly helpful pleasant staff, excellent pool area. 3 minutes to beach. 5 minutes to Cala d'Or main town.

Great location, clean apartments and friendly staff. Downsides; bedroom window was near the road and let alot of sound in which kept us up at night, having to pay extra for the safe seemed unnecessary and unusual.

Despite having two disabled people in our party and requesting suitable apartments at the time of booking and by emailing the hotel directly, we were placed in the furthest apartments from the hotels facilities which was situated up a flight of several stairs. We were eventually moved to more suitable apartments after making a complaint, however this was not without issues and was badly handled by management

It was better than expected holidays for our family. The hotel is superb. Very clean, all staff is very friendly. Our room was well equipped and general atmosphere was very family-friendly :) We surely will come back there. Thank you Prinsotel.

Apartment good and functional . Disappointed with the facilities . Expected more outdoor space . Pool very overcrowded with no sun beds available due to towels placed either overnight or at 6am. Space away from pool with sunbeds you don’t have to pay for. Had to pay for safe. Not great for teenagers.

Excellent hotel, would highly recommend!!! Lovely hotel, all the benefits of a hotel and apartments in the one location. Pros - Lovely, clean and family friendly Great pool and nice pool bar Excellent location - 2 min walk to lovely beach Cala Gran. 5-10 walk to center with loads of restaurants, bars and shops. Some really nice restaurants with 2-5mins walk too Staff are lovely You can bring your own food and drink to the pool Great reasonable priced snacks in the camper van at the pool e.g. hot dog €3 The sofa bed is L shaped but suited our 14yr old and 10yrs fine - even really comfy - was also made when we arrived after midnight which was a relief Clean towels everyday / really comfy beds Air con is great - so easy to get a good nights sleep Cons - nothing big... Very busy with young families so may not suit someone looking for a quieter getaway Can be hard to get a sunbed, but sure show me a hotel that isn't Maid woke us quite early each day when we forgot to out put the DND sign up and then a didn't come back 2 days during the second week. Maybe our fault though Balconys are a little on the small side Overal I would go back for sure - great spot

All staff at Prinsotel Alba were so helpful and friendly. Our only complaint was that we had a damp smell in our bed room.

Problem with rooms as they do not have the option for two single beds and a sofa bed, however this was a problem with Expedia. Great facilities, nice and friendly staff and beautiful setting for a great price.

Location, cleanliness, food and value is excellent . 4 minutes to beach, bus stop right outside, 20 minute walk to marina, central but quiet. Location itself was simply stunning. Starfish boat is worth a trip as are the caves of drauch. Staff however is what makes this hotel what it is. The attention to detail, customer service and level of friendliness and professionalism is outstanding, particularly from the Manager Tomas who made a conscious effort with guests to ensure all needs were met. He was always so kind to our children and make a point several times a day to make conversation and ask us about our stay. Guest and the smooth running of the hotel was clearly his priority-l: The bar tender and waitress Claudia was another employee who is just phenomenal. Taking so much pride in her work with a smile consistently on her face . Kids club / animacion employer Jonathan and the two ladies were the best we have ever came across in a hotel. Again, consistently friendly, upbeat and I felt extremely satisfied while my children were in their care. Not a day went by that the entertainment staff did not say hello, make conversation & knew the all the kids names.It’s because of these staff members that we will be returning to Prinsotel next year again.

Disappointing service
I really wish I could give this hotel/stay a better rating as the facilities and location was pretty good but unfortunately there were a few things taking the score down. Service was not very good and some of the staff was actually pretty rude. The hotel have a "no booking sun bed" policy yet all the pool sun-beds are fully booked around 8am with guests only arriving back around 10-11. The hotel also charge extra for things like their safety box (I would expect this to be included) although they strongly recommend that you keep your things in the safety box because of the risk of thefts. The cleaning of room was very average and towels (many ripped) needed to be a long time ago. But lovely beach close by and some nice kids pools with the odd sun bed available in the afternoon.

The apartment was spacious and clean. It felt private and well maintained. The main pool was a great size , the kids pools looked lovely too. We were so pleased with our break in this lovely hotel and the central location. We will definitely be returning with the rest of the family in the near future.

Lovely hotel 2 mins from the beach albeit down a hill which was only an issue because my mother was using a wheelchair as she had fallen the day before our trip. Clean rooms and friendly staff who could t do enough to help us and moved us to a room with only two steps into the apartment. Pool area spotless and lifeguard very vigilant, stopped any messing from kids that was dangerous. Only issue was on my last night teenagers were loud and obnoxious around the pool right outside our apartment up till midnight. They were also jumping around the soft area near the deep end of pool. An accident just waiting to happen in my opinion that late at night. Not a parent in sight. If one fell in and couldn’t swim it would be tragic. Lovely hotel near the most idyllic beach. Used the restaurant one night. Overpriced for very average buffet. Breakfast was buffet and at €16 per adult a complete rip off. Avoid. Much nicer food 2 mins walk away at marfil restaurant beside the beach

Great Hotel
Really nice hotel, only a few minutes walk to the beach and about a 10 minute walk to all the pubs and restaurants in the centre of town. Room was very clean and all the items you need when self catering, they even left washing up liquid and a cloth for your plates which I thought was a really nice touch. No sea view unfortunately but huge, comfy bed and sofa bed also. Little issue checking out but not enough for me to deduct any score, would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

Nice hotel, friendly staff
Check-in and out was easy. The hotel is just over the road from the beach. Our room was clean and functional. Kitchen area very small; OK to prepare breakfast, but not larger meals. Air con works well. We did not use the other facilities in complex, so cannot comment on these. The town of Cala D'or is lovely, with great beaches, restaurants etc.

Smart but fun and relaxed
We had an apartment close to the pool. The apartment had been refurbished and was smart, clean and spacious. The bedroom and bed was Hugh and the bed really comfortable. My 2 children slept on the sofa beds. They both complained they were a bit hard so I laid duvet for them to sleep on. I like ld the fact the sofa beds were 2 separate beds rather than 1 double. The aoarholtel is close to 2 lovely beaches, supermarket and restaurants so is an ideal location. The entertainment in the evening was fairly basic (singers, saxophonist) but was ok. The kids were able use the pool in the evenings, which made their holiday. They made some great friends and they all had fun. It’s a real family hotel and resort and we met some lovely families. The hotel had a professional it relaxed feel about it. The food bar was reasonably priced and nice food (drinks a little expensive but could buy from supermarket for drinking in the day) I would go back. The only thing missing was maybe a pool table . Family fun near the beach
First time abroad with our 2 kids (14 and 10) wanted a hotel near the beach and with good range of facilities - found it! Prinsotel Alba perfectly situated 2min across the road from Cala Gran beach and round the corner from Cala Esmerelda beach. Reception staff were friendly and welcoming and clear with guest information. Our room was clean and welcoming, lovely and cool on arrival. 3 pools offered variety and change of scene. We opted for B&B and the buffet service was excellent with plenty of choice daily. AC in main bedroom was insufficient at night and we would often wake up too hot during the night. The super kingsize bed was, however, very comfortable. Kids slept on sofa beds and said they were a bit hard. Complimentary toiletries were provided. Fresh towels and bed making service daily. Plenty of activities provided for all guests poolside and in the evenings (eg: yoga, disco, water polo, entertainers, kids club, gym). 2 bars offered poolside seating or AC inside. Would recommend to others and stay there again

Had a great holiday, great apartment with a/c clean tidy, my only negative was watching the same people every morning and claiming 3 or 4 sun beds with towels and not returning for 4/5 hours.Come on guys if you are one of these families, try and be more sharing,use it when you need it, this being said there was room for everybody.

The suite was a bargain, and being away from the pool area was quiet. It was spacious, modern, clean, and decently equipped. Nice to come home to. One warning, Expedia's directions are abysmal, and the hotel is not in Santanyi, but in Cala Do'r about 10 KM away. The area is like a labyrinth, so if driving make sure you know where it is by consulting its web site. This apartment hotel was certainly good value for what we paid. Didn't take board so can't comment on food.

Prinsotel Alba Easter 2018
First time at the Alba, having holidayed in Cala D’Or many times before. The hotel was clean and the room spacious and sufficiently equipped for our short stay. If you’re looking to self cater and do a lot of cooking you will struggle as there’s not a huge amount of kitchen equipment/utensils etc. But it was fine for a limited amount of self catering. Bar/snack prices were sensible and staff were very friendly. The resort is great and has something for everybody, but with it being quite small, it’s compact and just about enough to do. Lots of choice of very good restaurants, prices reasonable. Overall we enjoyed the Alba and we’d definitely go back.

Overall would not recommend, some good features
At first, friendly staff, good quality apartment. - once through the door, not the most pleasant staff - room was very cold, after reporting it multiple occasions it was eventually fixed. - staff often lacked effective communication even without a language barrier. - some were friendly and helpful, some seemed rude and unapproachable however I guess that happens everywhere. - hotel very close to many beaches - found the hotel to be spacious - hotel was clean and tidy - local shops often shut - nice 15 min walk to Erokski supermarket, shopping plaza and many restaurants, although lacking enough Spanish cuisine. - location was sometimes a little boring and far away from interesting attractions. - honest and fair review to best of ability

Close to centre
The hotel is ten minutes walk to the centre where you will find an abundance of shops, bars and restaurants. Even better, the cala grand beach is less then five minutes walk, just over the road. The apartment itself was decorated all white which gave a light airy feel. There was a huge double bed in the separate bedroom and the sofa also turned into a bed. The bathroom was large and the shower was lovely, very powerful! The kitchen had a small sink, hob, kettle and microwave as well as a fridge of course. All in all I enjoyed staying here however I would say the pool was too small.
