Gap Mercantile Cottage


  • Gap Mercantile is located in quaint Caddo Gap, AR. The overnight rental is part of the actual historical Gap Mercantile, an old general store that was built in 1932. The store is still in operation and is open to the public during the summer season Tuesday through Saturday from 10 to 4 and winter season Friday and Saturday 10 to 4. You will have the cottage area in the back of the store that was renovated to accommodate overnight guests that has its own private entrance. This rental is just a short walk from the Caddo River.

    The 650 square foot Mercantile Cottage is located in the back of the historic Gap Mercantile building. It features two bedrooms and a bathroom with shower, as well as a roomy living area, along with a kitchenette where simple meals can be prepared using a microwave or toaster oven. There's also a small refrigerator and a dining area that seats six. The cottage and store are featured on the Farm Hand's Companion You Tube.
