"Independente Comporta was a truly serene experience. The setting is peaceful and beautifully designed, and the atmosphere invites you to slow down. The staff were kind and attentive, and everything about the space felt thoughtful and well cared for. It’s one of the most memorable places we’ve ever stayed — calm, intentional, and quietly special."

"This hotel was a historic property dating back to the 14th century. Walking the cloisters and hallways was magical. Don’t miss the museum in the crypt below the hotel. So much history, dating back to the Bronze Age. I have never stayed in such an amazing property. Magnificent!"
"Wonderful stay for a family! Our reception was fantastic with the friendliest of staff members. The apartment we stayed in looked to be brand new and was incredibly clean. What a great stay during our trip in Portugal!"
"Amazing staff! I overheard them helping several people navigate the city based on what they were looking for. Very clean hotel with lots of amenities. They also have limited dedicated parking (you have to ask for it) that is super helpful. "
"Beautiful location, with a great view.
The hotel itself is very simple, very clean and nice staff. Breakfast is also very simple and it does not have an option of restaurant for an evening meal. "
"The pool was nice but space for lounging by pool is small. There were many wasps a flies near the pool which made it difficult to relax. Reasonable price for a small basic room but out of the way from Setubal amenities that are walking distance. Recommend using an uber to get to other places . "

"Stunning property! Lots of pool chairs and great spacious area to enjoy drinks!
Room was amazing, bed so comfy and unreal views of the pool and ocean.
Spa also worthwhile to visit. Loved my massage and the hydrotherapy "
"Breakfast was excellent with a lot of choices. Beds were comfortable. Pool was ok. Staff very friendly & helpful. Big shopping mall near hotel. Town close by but need transport to get around town & beaches in vicinity. Quiet places not many tourists. Would stay again. "
"Absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful hotel right on the beach. Would absolutely recommend and stay again. Staff was friendly and helpful. Close walk to the beach and to the dock area with plenty of dining options and Casino. Indoor pool is a big plus for when weather isn’t ideal for outdoor pool and beach. My kids enjoyed the kids club child care for the adults to get a break. Breakfast buffet was fabulous. Can’t wait to return and stay here again. "
Cachopos, a charming village in the Setúbal District of Portugal, is known for its picturesque landscapes and serene atmosphere, but it doesn't boast a bustling nightlife scene like larger cities.
If you're in search of lively nightlife activities, nearby towns such as Setúbal and Troia are more suited to your needs. Setúbal has a vibrant waterfront promenade lined with bars and restaurants where you can enjoy a drink while taking in views of the marina. The area around Avenida Luísa Todi is particularly popular for its lively bars and cafés, often hosting live music events.
Troia, just a short ferry ride away, offers beach bars and nightclubs with a more relaxed vibe. Here, you can dance the night away or unwind with a cocktail while enjoying stunning sunset views over the river.
