"Clean place and friendly staff. Older building though, with paper thin walls. A loud wedding came back at 1am and woke up many of us. Overall good place, but we went in the shoulder season. I wouldn't pay full season prices"

"Starry Night is every bit as charming as the pics show and more. It’s conveniently close to town but far enough to enjoy a true rustic quietness. The host Becca is super friendly and was on top of communicating with us. We were fortunate enough to be able to see some color from the northern lights also. We can’t recommend this place enough!"

"out of all the VRBO properties we have used over the years this was one of the best! the owners thought of ever including labeling light switches and leaving us hangers which we never get in other properties so the little things like that that made this stay so enjoyable. nice to have two decks to use, two bathrooms with walk in showers, two nice queen beds, very comfortable living conditions! what more can we say? location perfect, view of harbor area, very close to town, you can’t go wrong here!"

"Great location, great host and great rental. We appreciated having linens provided and trash taken care of since we did not have transportation on the island this trip. Carol always responded promptly to help with any questions we had before or during the trip."
Lake Michigan Home on Tunnel of Trees with Game Room and Views

"Comfortable, quiet home, with beautiful views on a nice sandy/rocky beach and from the platform overlooking the water. As mentioned in description, it’s a hike down the stairs, but the view is stunning. We never saw anyone else on the beach. Nice open main floor, with lovely exposed beams that make the home feel more luxurious than a typical cottage. Well stocked, large kitchen, with lots of seating. Great water pressure and clean bathrooms. Queen beds have mattress toppers and are just ok. Bedding is fine. Bring your own pillows, if you’re picky. Easy instructions for using tv and dvd. Really great fire pit area, but we didn’t have a chance to use it. Pool table has seen better days, but we still had a great time using it. The home could have been a little cleaner. There were some crumbs on the chairs in kitchen and on the floors. There was also sand on the futon couches. Nothing bad enough to dissuade you from staying here, just worth a mention. If you reach out to owner, maybe try texting. I sent a couple of messages through VRBO before we arrived and they were never answered. Could be an issue with VRBO messaging. Overall, great centralized location to lots of up north activities, beautiful views, nice cottage."
