Great location, probably the most central in town. A really easy walk to everything and with good free parking directly below the hotel. The staff were really lovely and welcoming. In room toiletries are top quality - no need to BYO these. The room quality (2A) was acceptable but did not meet expectations at $478 per night for a 1 bed room with lounge. A curtain was hanging half off the kitchen rail, which was not fixed when we pointed it out at check in. Feathers from the sofa cushions pricked us repeatedly - they poked through the covers and many were visible sticking out of the cushions. The bathroom mirror - a Balinese intricately carved style - is caked in previous guests' toothpaste and creams. That made the bathroom feel very unclean.
We chose this hotel as it is dog friendly however the $80 cleaning charge is the most expensive we've EVER paid, including London hotels. We just moved back to Australia from London with our dog. In the UK, the usual dog charge of £20 (A$35) will typically include use of a dog bed, feeding bowl and some complimentary dog treats. Nothing is provided here except "additional cleaning". At that price I made sure our small, hypoallergenic, non-shedding, 13yo dog who can't jump up on furniture at least got to sit on the bed for 5 minutes so there was some cleaning to do!
