We had a lovely and memorable stay at Upendo Beach Boutique Hotel.
The location is simply beautiful, with breathtaking views and a peaceful ambiance. The staff were exceptional—especially Theo, who was incredibly helpful and welcoming throughout our stay.
Although I made an error in my booking by reserving the two-bedroom villa for only two adults, the hotel management showed great understanding. They kindly offered a generous solution by asking us to cover only 50% of the additional amount, which we truly appreciated.
The villa itself was spacious, clean, and beautifully designed. The entire property is well-maintained and provides a wonderful boutique experience.
One recommendation: it would be great if a pool heater could be added, as the water can be quite chilly in July.
Overall, we enjoyed our time very much and thank the team for their hospitality!

My stay at Canary Kendwa Beach Resort was one of the most beautiful vacations I’ve ever had. Everything exceeded our expectations from the moment we arrived.
The resort is perfectly located on the stunning Kendwa Beach, with crystal-clear turquoise water, soft white sand, and breathtaking sunsets every evening. Swimming in the warm ocean was an unforgettable experience.
Our room was spacious, spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The bathroom was modern, and housekeeping kept everything perfectly clean throughout our stay.
The staff were exceptional—friendly, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. No request was too much, and they made us feel welcome every day.
The food was delicious with plenty of variety, and the beachfront bar served amazing cocktails at great prices. Enjoying drinks while watching the sunset was one of our favorite moments.
We also loved the daily activities and evening entertainment. Playing table tennis and watching the international shows made every night fun and memorable. The reception team was always available and very helpful whenever we needed assistance.
Canary Kendwa Beach Resort offers the perfect combination of relaxation, beautiful scenery, excellent service, delicious food, and a wonderful atmosphere. We created unforgettable memories here and can’t wait to return. We highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting Zanzibar—it truly deserves 5 stars!

Place is clean but really basic and over priced. For 500$ a night you would expect absolute luxury but was really disappointed.
The staff are really nice and friendly which was the only positive from the huge price paid.

"We had a trouble at check in which was resolved quickly by the helpful staff. The room was clean and had a hairdryer in the bathroom. We loved the rooftop pool. Plenty of breakfast options and a beautiful beach. The location is perfect and we felt very safe there."

"I love staying in Stonetown and this was the perfect location. The staff was very nice and the accommodations were satisfactory. It is an older property, as are most accommodations in Stonetown but the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and it was a pleasant stay."
