Premiere Classe Troyes Sud - Bucheres

10/10 Excellent

"Perfect stay no problems at all"

Chambre d’hôtes le Prieuré de Fouchères

8/10 Good

"A Charming French Farmhouse with Potential Set in a beautiful, peaceful, village, this working farm has all the makings of a French dream. The accommodation seemed more of a homestay than a hotel. Our bedroom was clean, and the host was very friendly and welcoming. The communal breakfast was a highlight, with tea and coffee, a choice of cereals, homemade mini pancakes, fresh bread and delicious homemade jams. Despite this, we felt that our accommodation felt dated rather than quaint. The bathroom would benefit from refreshing/updating and the mismatched old style bedding on the two double beds felt tired and overlooked. More attention to detail would make a real difference and make this nice property really wonderful. One thing to note, they do not take card payments. The property has wonderful character and enormous potential. With some sympathetic updating while retaining its rustic charm, it could be a truly special place to stay. Overall, an enjoyable homestay with a warm welcome, a lovely setting and plenty of room for improvement."

Logis Hôtel-Restaurant Domaine de Montecristo et Gîte l'Évasion Dantès

10/10 Excellent

"It was relaxing to have a very big bed after a long day of travelling. The shower was easy to access & easy to use after we had worked out what to do with the shower gel, you squeeze it. Couldn't comment on meals, we didn't partake of any."

Château in Champagne, luxurious, very affordable, private for 1 Family /group

10/10 Excellent

"Great place with 7 rooms, some are of course nicer set up than others. The pool is lovely and heated. Some downsides like very limited towels and the hosts could be a little more relaxed about their attitude towards vacationers using the house and the tours. They no longer do chef at the house, but the dinner we got delivered was very nice and lots of food. Very close to lots of cute little champagne houses. They could also probably rehabilitate some of the rooms like the dining room to their former glory because right now it's not very pretty."

What is the best area to stay in Buxeuil?

Given that Buxeuil is a small village, the best area to stay is within the village itself, or in one of the surrounding hamlets for a truly peaceful escape.

Buxeuil is a charming, compact village known for its vineyards and the gentle flow of the River Aube. The village centre is small, with a few local amenities and the historic Eglise Saint-Pierre-ès-Liens as a focal point. You'll be within easy walking distance of local champagne producers for tastings and can enjoy leisurely strolls along the riverbanks. The focus here is on relaxation and experiencing authentic village life.

Travellers looking for an even more secluded experience might consider a gîte in a nearby hamlet, such as those found just a few kilometres outside Buxeuil. These typically offer larger properties with more extensive grounds, providing ultimate privacy and a chance to truly unwind amidst the vineyards.
