the place is really safe, a 15min drive to downtown. if you're here to chill, this would be the perfect option! not too much things to do nearby, but you could drive to poás volcano for example.

We stayed in the family villa for 2 nights and found it to be spacious with beautifully landscaped grounds. The local waterfalls were easily accessible and we could walk to local restaurants. "On the property all was excellent. There was a bit of maintenance happening that was well-contained. The gardens, trees, pathwasy outdoors and hallways were very well cared for, and the staff were helpful and efficient. I felt a real dedication to good service from them all. The pool was clean and the area relaxing. The restaurant was great.
