Lauren started talking to us early in the day to ensure they were ready for our arrival. She sent us directions and communicated with us all the way to the cabins. Nona the dog met us with one of the teen boys to ensure we were okay. They had a wagon for us so we had an easy time with luggage. We had a great walk on the property and truly enjoyed the outdoors. This is a much better value than a hotel. Also, the wifi in public spaces in not quite accurate, it's only available in one space that can be used for work and not close to the cabin and you have to bother the hosts to access it. I booked the cabin in March for July 27\. I was traveling from out of state for a music festival. Midday of the 27th I received a call from the property stating that my cabin would not be available. No explanation, just unavailable. This caused a serious inconvenience and forced me to find lodging at a much higher rate than the Homestake property. A truly beautiful place, amazing views. My kids loved climbing on the rocks nearby, and hiking anywhere in the area is quite easy as the woods are not overgrown nearby. It’s a quick 18 minute run into Butte if you need anything at all, but I’d suggest bringing all you need because you won’t want to leave! The owners were very accommodating, and the place was very comfortable. The cabin was very nice, clean and comfortable. The owners were fantastic and communication was great. There is no access to food here, but they owners made that clear so I knew to bring my own. Our family loved staying here. We played games and went on hikes. The cabin was cute and comfortable. I slept great! Perfect place to get quality family time. Owners were so nice and great. I really can’t say enough good things. If you are wanting a different experience than your typical hotel then this is your place. Cabin i stayed in was very nice with memory foam mattresses.
