Over 2200ft of river frontage for fly fishing, swimming, wading, fishing. Twisting Falls waterfall hike and many other falls and hikes in the area. Comfortable beds, blackout curtains for a great night’s rest, fresh mountain air and peace and quiet. Grill on the upper deck with lots of seating. Nestled in the mountains of East Tennessee just 30 minutes to Boone, NC and 90 minutes to Asheville, NC. Between 30 and 40 minutes from two of North Carolina’s ski resorts. 12 minutes from Watauga Lake in Tennessee where you can rent boats, jet skis and other watercraft equipment from local marinas. Easy paved access all of the way to the home with paved driveway. Wrap around decks on each level to enjoy cool summer breezes and sounds of the river below. Inside the cabin are soaring ceilings with the wall of windows that overlook the river and provide amazing Mountain Views. Totally open floor plan with kitchen, dining and living area accentuated by a stone fireplace on the main level. Main level also has a half bath. Two bedrooms and full bath upstairs. Our only regret was that we couldn’t stay longer. The cabin itself is stunning, and the views are simply breathtaking. Waking up to the sound of the river below and watching the sun rise and set over the mountains was unforgettable. Our host went above and beyond to make our visit special. Since we mentioned it was our mini honeymoon, we were touched to find a vase of gorgeous yellow roses, a handwritten congratulatory card, a chilled bottle of champagne, and fresh donuts waiting for us when we arrived. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made our stay even more memorable. I recently stayed the weekend with my husband and other family members to get together for our dad’s celebration of life. It was the perfect place to gather. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and we enjoyed the beautiful woodwork and decor of this cabin. Beds were comfy and the views on the deck were spectacular.
