The room was clean. The staff were nice. The shower was very small and the shower mat had holes in it. The bed was uncomfortable. The room is obviously old and worn. It needs to be updated. If I wasn’t tall I would not have been able to reach the air conditioning controls. I did not use any other amenities offered by the hotel.

The property felt pet friendly. The staff was welcoming. The hotel was comfortable, clean, spacious, and we had the best stay at Shasta Pines out of all the hotels where we stayed on our road trip. I will definitely be back to this one.

The property is very sweet with Rose bushes very green grass right at the base of the mountain super sweet spot. The rooms themselves were very tiny. If you’re bigger people it’s a little hard to maneuver in the rooms at least the one that we had with two queens but overall the places is very sweet.

We were traveling through during our move and were happy to have a quiet spacious room. The shower was a little funky in getting the water the desired temperature but once we got it figured out it was fine. The property is convenient and there are dining options within walking g distance if you arrive in town early enough. Many dinner places close at 8.

It is difficult to give this property a higher rating considering what we spent. Good points - room was clean, newer television, a coffee maker, and somewhat comfortable beds. Bad points - The room is something out of a bad 70s movie. Peeling paint on the walls, crumbling drywall, old shower stall with barely usable fixtures, stuck windows, duct tape holding piping in place and more... I cannot in good conscience recommend this motel

This is a very basic, no-frills motel, but in Burney there truly aren’t many better lodging options and this one ended up being a solid choice. The biggest advantage is the location: it’s only about 20 minutes from Burney Falls, which made early park visits easy and stress-free. While the motel looks a bit run down from the outside, the room itself had some surprisingly nice amenities. The bed was extremely comfortable and we got some of the best sleep of our trip. The room also included a microwave, refrigerator, and decent coffee, which we really appreciated. The property has a small dog park and a few picnic tables, which is a nice touch. The only downside was that they seemed to be out of ice consistently. Burney is a small town, but we enjoyed some surprisingly good pizza at the bowling alley just steps away from the motel. We stayed over July 4th weekend, and it turned out to be the perfect base - there was a food and craft fair and excellent fireworks at the local junior high school, all very close by. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which made the stay more pleasant overall. If you’re visiting Burney, especially for July 4th or Burney Falls, this motel works well as a comfortable, convenient place to stay, even if it’s not fancy.
