"The Schafli is a companion hotel to the Hotel Uzwil which is a good 4\*. Breakfast was at the Uzwil, a 10 minute walk but worth it as an above average breakfast in a lovely clean restaurant. The bedroom at Schafli was clean, good sized shower room and functional. No staff on site and seems to cater over business overnight customers. Very handy for the excellent rain service across Switzerland and cheaper than Zurich"

"Ich war für eine Geschäftsreise einen Tag im Hotel und war rundum zufrieden. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und ordentlich, das Frühstück bot eine tolle und vielfältige Auswahl – mit aufmerksamem, freundlichem Personal. Auch der Service insgesamt war großartig. Die Lage ist sehr zentral, Restaurants sowie Geschäfte des täglichen Bedarfs und zum Shoppen sind bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Ein kleiner Verbesserungsvorschlag: Eine Gardine oder ein Rollladen am großen Fenster wäre nachts hilfreich, um den Raum besser abdunkeln zu können. Ich komme bei meiner nächsten Geschäftsreise gerne wieder! "

"Beautifully modern apartment (suite style dorm really) converted older building in the old section of St. Gallen. VERY STEEP hill to climb to reach building, and note that cars are not allowed in this area, so you need to lug your luggage up and down. I would have appreciated directions to the parking garage instead of the address of the building because my GPS tried to tell me I could drive my car up this hill (There's no way, and then you need to enter a restricted zone to turn around, so I am awaiting a ticket by mail) Outside of that, this is a fully self service building, no reception, no check in, etc. You are given a code to open a lockbox that has your key. Rooms were beautiful and clean and spacious, with a shared living area, kitchen and bathroom for the 4 separate bedrooms on the floor. It worked well for us, we were traveling with another couple and no one else was occupying the other two rooms."
