During these periods, the weather is generally mild and pleasant, making it ideal for outdoor activities like hiking and exploring the local countryside. The natural scenery is also particularly appealing, with blossoming flowers in spring and colourful foliage in autumn.

For couples looking for a romantic and tranquil getaway, these shoulder seasons offer a peaceful experience. You can enjoy quiet walks through the Franconian Forest or visit nearby castles without the hustle and bustle of peak tourist season. Many local restaurants and guesthouses are fully operational but less crowded, allowing for a more intimate experience.
