A very pleasant, well managed hotel in an excellent location by the Penryn River with great rooms for breakfast and coffee and a pub. Only issue was that the room was very hot despite having an open window. Consequently sleeping was difficult.
I was too slow in requesting a fan and irritated to be told there was one in the wardrobe or cupboard which there was not.
I doubt whether a fan would be adequate. The hotel should seriously consider installing air conditioners in each room as summer temperatures are only going to get hotter.

Just returned from a three night stay, everything was as great as it could be, helpful friendly people, nothing was too much trouble.
Our only criticism is their sister hotel could do with some staff training, service was as good as being at fawlty towers.
However idle rocks was perfect !!

"We had an amazing stay! The cottage was comfortable and had everything you need. The onsite outdoor play area and small soft play area (ball pit, soft animals etc) were ideal for our toddler.
