The first impression was good, clean entrance and pleasant staff. Check in went without a hitch.
I booked a superior room with river view and balcony. On arrival in our room we went out on to the balcony to enjoy the view, however h balcony was littered with cigarette ends from the previous customers, as neither of us smoke this was very disappointing, i called recepton and they apologised and said they would send a housekeeper to clean it, which they did by th tim she arrived 5 minutes later i had discovered that a wine glass in the cupboard which still had wine in it, the housekeeper also replaced the glass but this was not the standard i would have expected for a superior room. Later in the evening i decided to run a bath and discovered a toenail clipping in th bath :( i was too tired to complain again so i just cleaned it myself, there was also a nail clipping on the floor in the corner which i didnt remove and despite the room being "cleaned" 3 times whilst we were there it was still in the corner of the bathroom when we left. A very disappointing experience!!
The bed was clean and fairly comfortable. Staff in the restaurant and the food were both very good.
Lovely view across the river, however be aware that the road and tram lines run along in front of the hotel aswell so its noisy day and night.
