"Overall, everything was great! The mountain views were beautiful, and the place had a cozy, rustic feel. It was quiet, the beds were comfortable, and the staff was very friendly. The lake and pool were drained since it was the off-season, but that was totally fine—we just needed a place to stay while visiting family. The only things I wish the room had were a mini fridge and microwave. Other than that, I would definitely stay here again and explore more , especially once the season starts."
"Our stay at the Ridgetop Retreat was great! Hot tub was perfect and I liked that it was protected off the back of the house, which made it seem more private. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars on cleanliness was we had ants around the dining room table. We notice it had old food in the cracks of the table from previous people. It's more of a design flaw with the table and not being able to clean it really well. The previous renters left a used sheet pan inside the grill with what we suspect was fish from the smell when we cleaned it.They have all of the basics but if you need specific baking dish ask beforehand or bring your own. The owners are very responsive. I asked about a 9 x 13 pan for baked ziti and I brought my own. Got a real kick out of the cookbook on the counter, my husband took a pic of it on the counter and sent it to his buddies. We used the horseshoe pits and had a campfire each night. Going to town for basic isn't super far away. Great location for anything to do with the red river gorge, we went on the boat cave tour and then rented side by side atv's, which was one of the best outdoor activity I've done in many years and ziplining on the last day where my husband and son had a blast. The driveway was very steep, so you just have to go for it with four wheel drive in gear. I highly recommend staying here and had a great experience. "
"Great mountain get away for my outdoor loving family of 6! Thank you so much!!Everything was great! Only suggestions would be seating around fireplace and more comfortable seating on deck. Thanks!Mandy "

"We had a relaxing stay at the cabin. The cabin was clean and comfortable just like the description. The kids even came off their iPads!!The hot tub was cold when we got there but heated up quickly. Probably was cold as it must have just been cleaned. It was so nice to have such a clean hot tub. "

"A nice cozy and secluded property. We loved the hot tub on the deck and room to wander. Decks facing East and West are great morning and evening relaxation spots after daytime adventures. Thank you."

"What a great house that met all our needs! If you’re looking for privacy and a gorgeous view, this is it. When we weren’t enjoying the local sights, we mostly enjoyed hanging out on the wrap-around porch watching the sunrise or star gazing. The host made sure all our needs were met and was quick to respond if we had a question. The check in process was super easy and we appreciated finding this gem of a place at the last minute. We’re hoping to repeat this experience again same time next year!"
"The driveway was terrible. There were limited dishes and glasses and no stoppers in the sink. The grill on the front porch was busted as was the chair on the back deck."
