Brand new Buckeye Lake waterfront chalet A

This is the best rental in Crane Cove….with the best water views. It is perfect for two couples or a four person family. There are separate bedrooms with connecting baths on each.
The property has 3 decks, one that you could practically fish from that overlooks the water. Kayaks, bikes, boat docks, a peddle boat, a fire pit, and grill are for the use of guests. Next to the resort is the Northshore Park with a mini beach, the start of a 4.2 mile walking/biking path, and boat launch. Restaurants and stores are within walking distance.
Crane Cove has 400 feet of waterfront for your use whether it’s fishing on the docks or just relaxing by the water. ( all short-term rentals in the Village of Buckeye Lake are governed under ordinances #2022-56 and #2023-60 )

  • The second oldest building remaining on The Ohio State University campus, Orton Hall was opened in 1893. It is named after Dr Edward Orton, Sr. who served as Ohio State's first president, OSU Professor of Geology from 1873 to 1899, and Ohio's State Geologist from 1882 until his death in 1899. Rick is a great host, great communication with me prior to and during our stay. Very responsive to my requests. The property is very cute. Could use more seating in the gathering area, although it would be tight. The balconies were enjoyable. Inside and outside furniture cushions needs to be steam cleaned. We enjoyed the fire pit one night. A great girls getaway.

Fabulous time on Buckeye Lake

Great time in the ‘pink’ house. Perfect location on the lake, Well equipped for all our needs. Bedrooms are located for maximum privacy. Lots of things to do and we had a great time. Definitely will be back.

Close to Legend Valley.

Quiet Cove off of the lake, but close to the highway and restaurants. Perfect set up for two couples. Each bedroom had its own bathroom with a central living area. Recommend.

Great place!

My friend and I stayed for a long girls weekend and had a great relaxing time. We loved being able to walk by the water and there were so many great little places to eat nearby. We also checked out the Dawes Arboretum which was only about a 10 min drive away. Loved our first trip to Buckeye Lake!

Perfect house for four adults. We brought our boat and there was a dock for us right by the house. Our stay was quiet and relaxing. We will definitely stay here again!!

Property is beautifully decorated, location is great. Queen size bed was very uncomfortable though, could use a better mattress, and wish there was blinds on the double doors at night, but over all, rental is extremely nice, owner has put a lot of work into this place

Cute winter getaway

This is normally a summer spot, but this is the second year we have used it as our secret winter getaway. The lake is just beautiful with all the ice in the snow, the view is breathtaking.

Lake Effect

This is our 3rd time staying at one of Rick's properties. The location is great. We can bring our boat and tie up at his dock. We used the bike path daily. Will be back!

Location!

The place was very cute and well maintained. It sits right next to a cove, with a beautiful view of the lake. Biking, walking, and kayaking provided by host, as well as, fire ring. Rick was very helpful and attentive throughout our stay. We will come again!

Great Visit with Friends

Lovely property by the lake. Liked the separation of one bedroom on top floor and other on lower level. Beds not super comfortable. Kitchen adequately supplied. One drawback for us was no dining table inside - eating and game playing on a small coffee table. Host is super nice and has a long history with the area and lives next door. We were there in the fall; too chilly for much outdoor activity but nice outdoor amenities.

Awesome Place

The Property Owner, Rick, was very accommodating. He went above and beyond my expectations. We rented out all three of his charming houses. The location was perfect. There is access to the Lake, docks, kayaks, bikes and a bike path. We got married in the little shelter house/ gazebo and it was the most beautiful setting I could have asked for. He has landscaped the area with beautiful flowers and bushes. Rick was there to help with anything I needed. If you are thinking of getting away to Buckeye Lake, you definitely need to stay at this location.

Absolutely Beautiful

VRBO next to Buckeye Lake State Park / right by the lake. The house was VERY cute and cozy. I loved the balconies; I ate out on the balcony every meal. Great location for photography which is why I came. Owner available, welcoming, and very helpful with answering questions. I enjoyed taking pictures of wildlife and nature. Also, I rented a bike from the Boat House. The house was spacious enough so that I could use my yoga mat. Creno's Pizza nearby - absolutely yummy. I enjoyed reading time as well. Mostly, I appreciate that the owner stated on the written info. in the house that the area was not for parties, but for peace and relaxation! If I had to be really picky I would say that the refrigerator and pan for oven and bedroom lamp should have been cleaned better. Also, scissors to open things in kitchen and a box of kleenex would have been helpful (or maybe these items were available and I just couldn't find them). Overall, I am really glad that I came and have recommended this VRBO to others! A short vacation that I will remember forever!
