Our stay at the property was extremely disappointing.
The most serious issue was in the bathroom. The shower door was not properly fitted, so water leaked all over the floor every time we showered. This created a dangerous slipping hazard and left the bathroom floor constantly soaked. Customer service provided extra towels to soak up the water, but these quickly became a heap of damp, smelly towels that worsened the already strong damp smell over the week. On top of this, we noticed mould growing in the bathroom as well.
The entire apartment was extremely humid and had a persistent damp smell that clung to all of our clothes and belongings. Even though a dehumidifier was brought in after we complained, it barely made a difference.
We also discovered that there was only one pillow for two people. Upon checking the cupboard for spares, we found it covered in mould and touching the pillows. Customer service brought a new pillow the next day.
Finally, the view from the window was appalling. It overlooked a dark courtyard that felt unsafe and neglected, with debris and cables strewn around. It was not at all what we expected and added to the overall discomfort of our stay.
