Very bad
They gave us a room on the top floor, an infernal heat and the air conditioning did not work. The worst beds in many hotels I've seen, they creaked at any movement. Extraordinary, I didn't sleep at all. Because of the heat, we slept with the windows open and mosquitoes ate us. The TV programs don't work, they say they are coded.

Clean and quiet. I used to stay overnight at hotels in downtown Bucharest when I had to arrive or depart from Otopeni and next day to take a Uber to board trains in Gara de Nord. But in late March I stayed one night in Elizeu when I my plane arrived with delayed and I was surprised to see that it offers services at pair or even better in some respect to the ones offered by hotels located in city center. I stayed again one night in the first week of April when I departed Romania and the experience was realy good.

Surprisingly reception wanted to charge me the already paid fee again as I had arrived after midnight, despite me calling them on the day letting them know my flight would arrive at 11:30pm so I reckoned I’d arrive to the hotel just after midnight- the last conversation you want to have after a long flight... the room was semi clean and with a foul smell of cigarettes...I was happy to leave early in the morning

Chose this as it's really close to the train station. The place is really basic...its lacking AC ....would have really appreciated this with 35 degree heat... Suggest not to hang around late around the Neighborhood as its pretty creepy...

Several times I have stayed at this hotel because of its proximity to Gara de Nord and because of its reasonable rate. In my opinion, the hotel has never had effective air conditioning. However, this time, due to the excessive outside temperature, the room temperature was borderline unbearable. This, combined with a nonfunctional TV, made the one night stay not very pleasant.

The breakfast was ok. Nothing special, but it was nice to have. The breakfast and that the hotel was clean were the positives. Parking was a little bit of a challenge and not very secure. There was no WiFi as advertised. Only in the lobby so had to be at or just outside the window to catch it. This is a 2 star hotel at best. Not a 3 star they say they are.

The place is next to the Main station, which is really nice, however, the breakfast was very limited and they don’t even have a toaster to toast the bread so the breakfast served cold except for the boiled eggs. The room I booked was a queen size bed, however, when I checked in, the receptionist gave me a triple single bed which I demanded to change to a queen size. The bathroom in the Queen size bedroom, however, was so small and even the shower room was a similar to a shower room in a hostel. The water pouring on the shower head was weak and it was really annoying when we had a shower. The receptionist when I checked in and the receptionist when I checked out kept asking me to pay for the room, even though I already paid the day I booked my accommodation in October. It seemed they didn’t have the gal to check if their customers paid or not. They’re not very helpful as well as when we asked for direction to the city centre, they didn’t help us and even on how to get to the airport either by public transportation or by Uber, they did say “I don’t know”! I wouldn’t recommend anybody to stay in this hotel. It is very pricey and yet the service is bloody awful!

The hotel is situated near the north train station and a supermarket. The light sensor in the corridor doesn’t work and the AC in the rooms is historical and doesn’t work. The bathroom smells bad and the beds mattresses are worn away. The wifi for Iphone did not connect and as for the breakfast It was ok but the vinegar and the olive oil at the table had insects in them.

The refrigerator, the trash and the air conditioning did not exist in this room. The room was on the ground floor overlooking a very noisy terrace, and the room had very little natural light - an atmosphere that was worthy of HOBBIT. There is also a pungent odor in the room. If you were pulling it normally to close the door, it would be very likely to stay with her. Broken carpet, inadequate blankets. And there's still a lot to be said but I like my modesty to stop here ...

Good price, central to train and metro
Comfortable and affordable option across the street from the train station, which also has a metro. Not an easy drive to get there if you have a car, so have a GPS and be patient! Free parking.

Convenient for Gara du Nord and Metro, but little else nearby in terms of restaurants and bars. Whole area around station is rather run down, the Elizeu has a rather welcoming foyer by comparison. Room smelt of damp, bed had a sheet and a cover on, but no other sheets (but found one on top of wardrobe). Bathroom and shower OK. Wardrobe falling apart. Breakfast reasonable, but warm food was usually cold (cold chips in the morning, mmmm). Asked for a map, but map was mainly full of adverts for 'erotic massage' parlours

Hotel is located across the train station (Gara de Nord) and very close to public transportation, within easy reach to many tourist sites in Bucharest. Room condition was acceptable, but the AC was not working, which makes it very unpleasant to be in the room when outside is 33 degrees Celsius.

Elizeu is quite a cosy hotel close to Basarab train station, the room was quite spacious and clean, the only downside it is the AC wich is quite old and doesn't cool the room enough on a hot summer day. The staff is polite and they were very kind and checked me in 2 hours before standard time. Overall a good budget option if you're not very fussy.

Outdated hotel
Hotel advertised with AC. Unfortunately the AC was making more noise than cool air. The unit is at least 30 years old , very noisy and useless . The pillows are so cheap that even my 7 years old said he can`t sleep on them. After slept only 3 hours in the first night , I`ve asked for another room and we`ve been changed to a "better" one, where the AC was working a little better. But the surprise came when having a shower and due to the block drainage , water started to flood the bathroom and threatening to flood the room as well. I had to give a shower to my son and then lift him up in order to avoid him walking through the water or even slipping and bang his head or something. The bathroom couldn`t be used for a while as we had to give time for the water to be absorbed back on the drainage. They have a slogan saying "The best hotel in town" , which has to be changed into "The worse hotel in town". Will never , ever use this hotel again as it is a big difference between what they advertise and the reality.

Hotel in nicht gutem Zustand. Trotz Verzeichnis hier keine Parkplätze auf dem Gelände vorhanden. Klimaanlage nur ein Luftumwaelzer ohne ausreichende Kuehlfunktion. Frühstück von der Auswahl ok aber eine Müll und Plastikschlacht…
