I wasn’t looking for anything fancy. I was at Bowdoin for my 50th reunion and wanted to be able to walk to campus. It is about 1.5 blocks to the west end of campus (think Walker Art bldg.). The bed was comfortable and the shower was fine. I didn’t use the kitchen and really only slept and showered there. It worked great for that. It isn’t fancy but it was clean and a great location in a very nice neighborhood. The host was very responsive. ##### John C. Had to buy all of these items. There were no instructions regarding the garbage or recycling we took the garbage out to the garbage bin when we left. Front door and door lock are not very secure, door doesn't latch securely you have to really pull/push it shut, and the lock is hard to lock from the inside. Cobwebs by the bathroom sink, huge wolf spider was in the shower when we arrived. My husband is allergic to spider bites - he got bit during the first night, luckily we caught it right away and got the Benadryl.
